You betcha! but... you might want to make sure and wait for another member here to confirm it as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you email the Dukan Diet guys because they can give you an answer better...
Well that is what I am going to have for dinner tonight = yummy!..
That looks so delicious!!!! Don't ya just love the burgers!..
I actually have just started doing this same thing lately with the Dukan Diet burger, sauted Portabello mushrooms and onions and Light Laughing Cow Cheese - add a little ketchup and it's delicious!..
OK I'm gettn' hungry! Had an early morning - breakfast was at 4:30 a.m. so I'm ready for lunch. This sounds really great especially since I've been seeing the ads for my former favorite fast-food mushroom n'swiss burger. Looks like a good substitute that would satisfy that craving..
You have done an amazing job and you look great!.
Just had to tell you that...
Akamissj, you beat me to it! I was going to say use the light Chuckling Bovine cheese. It was the first thing I thought of when I read the title of this thread..
I made them last night and they were yummy!!!!!..
It looks great, but how are you working out using two cheeses?.
(I had to make peace that I *would* use a LF slice of sharp cheddar, I would love to use more cheese. Is it a protein from lunch on the women's program?.
Or is that something else on the right? ff mayo or sour cream?..
The Kraft Singles Fat-free comes in American, Cheddar, and Swiss if not more choices. Those are the three at my store. And they are 25 calories a slice, which have 4 g protein and 2 g carbs. If he has laughing cow on the opposite bun, those are what, 35 calories 2 g fat? So also another couple grams of protein, right? Maybe they are adding two together to make one protein entry, since it fits the 100 calories or less, 3 grams fat or less, and at least 8 grams protein (ok, it falls short there). What, so no lettuce and tomato? No pickles? Pout!.
Seriously, we did the sauteed mushroom and onion burger once, and it ROCKED, but you can't get lettuce and tomato to fit with such a nice pile of mushrooms and onions...
Sounds great! I've been using lowfat cheese as opposed to fat free, but perhaps I will have to look into this. Usually the fat free doesn't taste good by itself (which is how I was sampling) but probably melted on something is a lot better!..
Wow what a response. I have been offline (studying for finals) It is fat free kraft. It is also FF mayo. Both burgers are not for me. It is on Natures way whole wheat bun that is 110 kcals and 4 gm of fiber...
Thanks so much for the idea. I made the mush.cheesbgr. last nite for dinner. It was wonderful. Like "real food". The burgers we get at Dukan Diet are very tasty, you'd never know it when opening the package !.
I only made the one burger and I use LF cheese because I can not stand FF cheese...
Your welcome!!! This can also work for the chicken breast. Don't forget mrs. dash spices..
So.... after 2 months of NS, despite all that's been on the boards about the burger, I FINALLY had it AS a burger and ohhhhhhhhh......!!!! I even let my husband try a bite and right that bite, we both changed our auto delivery. I still don't get how they do it but it does taste just like a regular burger without all the guilt and grease. :-).
Since I wasn't sure about it yet and didn't want to buy a whole pack of burger buns, I went to the deli and bought 1 whole wheat kaiser roll. I figured it was probably more than 120 cals so what I did after cutting it in half was pick out some of soft inside which worked out good because it made room for me to pile on lots of lettuce. :-) I'll have to find out exactly how many cals 1 of those rolls are because those would be a lot nicer than a regular bun..
Oh... I also sauteed mushrooms and onions too. yumm.. can't wait for our next order that was shipped out today..yippeee!..
That's pretty much how I usually made my Dukan Diet burgers too. The mushrooms really made a big difference in the taste..
