First of all Is there a spiecal Dukan Diet for pomeranians? Hoping for any response. Second question of mine... Cut head of cabbage into rounds. It stays together pretty well as cabbage is very thick. Spray a pan with olive oil cooking spray/butter spray. Sprinkle the cabbage with Splenda.

Cook both sides, till browned.

If you add a very small amount of salt, this will help the cooking process...But not needed. They are like little cabbage cakes and taste so yummy. Enjoy !!!!!!!!.

I named these cakes after my Black Pug Baby Jake. He is no longer with us, although his soul still brightens my life..

*****According to the Nutrisystem counselor;.

Those cabbage cakes sounds very tasty. Since you are cooking the cabbage it will fall under the vegetables servings. Splenda is an acceptable sweetener to use. This could be great for a side dish at dinner that would equal a vegetable serving..

Oh, by the way, this sounds wonderful. I already printed it off!! Thanks for the recipe...

I was wondering the same thing about the cooking spray..

I thought it was a free food. I will ask the counselor why she said it should be counted as a fat and get back to you..

Maybe the counselor didn't think the OP was talking about Pam spray. It just says olive oil cooking spray. You can put regular Olive Oil in a mister. If you use Pam, it is a free food if you don't overdo the amount of sprays...

Ruby, thanks for the recipe. I'll give it a try. I love the name you gave your recipe, too...I'm sure it makes it taste better...

I just received the below response from the NutriSystem Counselor and updated my recipe;.

The cooking spray with zero calories would be considered a free food. It is when you use a light margarine or butter, that it would count as a fat serving. Have a great rest of the weekend, and keep us posted on your weight loss...

How many slices in a serving? 'cakes' implys multiple but I'm not sure how many slices or how thick they should be ... sounds interesting tho. Would you please clarify??..

As far as the slices go, I am unsure, as it depends on where in the cabbage head you are cutting. The closer to the middle, the bigger the slice. Plus the cabbage tends to cook down..

The entire serving should measure 1 cup as it counts as a veggie serving. I pretty much just take a guess as I feel if it is a little over, cabbage seems pretty harmless..

Another great thing about cabbage is the price. How can you beat 59 cents a head. Veggies can be so expensive these days and cabbage is one of the most economical. Additionally, it is great for the digestive system..

I eat this at least 4 times a week. It is the combo of the Splenda, salt (just a bit), and Pam olive oil spray that makes the cabbage taste SOOOOOO yummy..

Cabbage Rocks !!!!.

Hope this helps..

It sounds so good and easy, but I must have done something wrong. I will try again tomorrow as I was really looking forward to it, so much that I bought 2 heads of cabbage...
