Hi everyone, quick 1st question: Is there a GoDaddy coupon I can use in Canada?.

My 2nd question is: .

Ok, so I don't know much about email marketing but I do know that I have made money using email methods, and also that it is something worth working at due to low costs.

So here is what I don't understand. Let's say I make a post on a forum giving away my free iPad and tell ppl that are interested to mail me at my gmail address. 500 ppl respond now I have 500 email adresses right?.

So here's where I'm confused. Let's say I use a service like mailchimp, can I just import all these emails and send a response to all at once and simply just put an unsubscribe link at the bottom and be compliant?.

Or do I have to send out an email saying... To find out more about the iPad offer please click here to opt in, then after like 50 ppl opt in I can do whatever I want with those emails.

The second way is still acheivable it just takes more work. But I'm just confused all together. Any help is most appreciated!..

Your question was: Is there a GoDaddy coupon I can use in Canada?.

And don't have them email you. You will spend a ton of time importing them. Direct them to a web page that has the mailchimp form on it. When they fill it out they are instantly on your. This will also decrease your chance of getting spam reports. If you import 500 email addresses from one IP address that is a huge spam flag.

Good luck...

So instead of saying email me here...i say you can reach me by giving me your address here and show them the lp.then they enter their email. But then do they need to confirm it?.

Like I picked up volks free book and I had to enter my email then confirm it then received the email w the dl link. That was kind of a pain. Is it possible to have them sign up then immediately shoot them an email wo the confirmation one?..

Probably possible but not with mail chimp. Most companies like that are double-opt in to lower spam rates. They have to say yes twice...

Go with Constant Contact and use single opt-in dude. You will lose half or more pushing them through a confirmation process, and the way CC single opts is almost as arduous a process. Just select the option to have your prospects re-enter their e-mail address (it's an option when you set up your form)..

If you sign up, PM me and I will help you get running...

Why not use a service like Aweber ? You can then post a link directing them to your e mail submission form...either on a landing page you create or Aweber will host the submission form for you....its much better that way in my opinion..
