First of all Is there a Dukan Diet plan for people who don't eat fish OR vegetables? Looking forward for any comment. Another quick question... Granola Cookie.

1 package N.S. Granola Breakfast Cereal.

1 tsp. Margarine.

1 packet Sugar Substitute.

1 tsp. Flour (or enough to help mixture form dough).

1 tsp. of one of the following: Apple Sauce, Orange Juice, Apple.

Juice or Milk (just enough to bring dough together).

1/4 tsp Vanilla.

1/4 tsp each Cinnamon and Nutmeg (or 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice).

1 TBS Chopped Nuts or Raisins, Currants, or dried Fruit of your choice.

Cream together all ingredients except Granola and nuts or dried fruit.

Until smooth. Stir in Granola, breaking up any larger pieces. Add.

Nuts or dried fruit. Mix into dough. (You may need to adjust flour.

And or juice (or whatever you used in place or juice) to bring dough.

Together. Place on cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake.

In a 350 oven for 12-14 minutes. Cool slightly then remove from.

Of course! but you might want to make sure and wait for another member here to confirm it as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Dukan Diet guys because they can help better...

I don't know what "Insta-Bake" is. But if you use it, I don't see why you couldn't in this recipe since you don't need much flour...

I'm thinking you could also use applesauce instead of the margarine ... so not to use up a fat ... thoughts?..

I was going to use Smart Squeeze, which is only 5 calories per tbsp. It gives a good butter flavor...

Insta-Bake is basically a whole grain version of Bisquick, but as you said, I doubt there will be any difference. I'll let you know in the morning!!!..

Sooooooooooo yummy!!!! I used Smart Squeeze instead of margarine, probably about 2 tsp, 1 tbsp granulated Splenda, 1 tsp Insta-Bake for the flour, 1 tsp applesauce, probably a tad too much nutmeg (but I love it so much!).

, a fruit serving worth of raisins and a fat serving worth of walnuts. It didn't hold together completely, but that didn't matter, because I wasn't going anywhere! It was incredibly good!!!..

Do you know how that is to be counted? Is it 1 Dukan Diet breakfast entree; 1 fruit; 1 dairy and 1 fat? Thanks!!..

That is the problem with using the N.S. cereals for a cookie dough. You have to adjust the amount of flour (or Inst-Bake) and whatever you use for liquid to make a dough, and if you use liquid margarine, that will also change the consistency of the dough and sometimes, you don't know if your adjustments are correct until it is baked. Glad you liked it...

Unfortunately, it's pretty low in protein, because it's missing the 1/2 cup of milk to be added to the granola and there is no additional protein. So you still need to add 1/2 protein to make a full breakfast entree and then I also added in my breakfast fruit serving and my fat serving. What I did for my protein was drink a can of Pure Protein Chocolate Shake (110 calories, 1g fat, 5g carb & 21g protein). This does make for a very high calorie breakfast, but it's also incredibly filling and will definitely get me through till lunch! I will choose lower calorie options the rest of the day, like the burger for dinner. Definitely worth it!!!..

I made the original recipe with a couple modifications:.

- did not have any Dukan Diet granola so sub'd low fat granola purchased in bulk at New Seasons (1/2c = 130 cal).

- used a HEAPing tsp of flour.

- needed 1T of applesauce for binding.

- used 2T of raisins (fruit serving).

- used cinnamon & vanilla & 1 pkt splenda.

Had a warm cookie with a glass of milk on the side..

YUM! YUM! YUM!..

I made up one a while back. I have some cinnamon raisin granola by Cascadian Farms and I put a tablespoon of eggbeaters and splenda in it and a little baking soda, vanilla and spices. It made a nice soft cookie..

Is this one chewy or crunchy?..

This one is chewy. But if you played with the recipe, you might be able to make it crunchy. I love how all of you are taking my recipe and changing, adding etc. That is what makes this site so great. One idea becomes another and another and so on etc. It also shows any "newbies" that may read this that just because your on N.S.

That was the one thing I was worried about before I started N.S. but with all the great recipes and ideas for the foods, I can stay on the plan and still do my cooking and baking. Thanks for all the ideas everyone!!!!..
