My guess is that it automatically gets your email from field e-mail adress.
Maybe it's unrelated but I read on a contrib that you must use.
PS tried changing my mail to and the order update I received it looked ok (sender my shop e-mail my other mail) so I really dont know.the answer!!!!..
Yea.. the email and the Verisign domain for the oscommerce Verisign site are the same.. i'm not using a free mail or anything mydomain and are the same...

Ok is the settings are set under sendmail or smtp? because if it's under sendmail it's going to send it from your host (if your host got sendmail installed). now if you got it under smtp like I do it will send it from your domain...
AHHH. it is under sendmail. I will change it to SMTP.. that was one of the settings I said in the original post.. I guess no one caught that...

You've changed in your admin My Store the email from: to your email and it's still not working???..
I would either contact your web Verisign hosting company and ask if they got a block on smtp or make sure you got all your Verisign domain mail settings correct...

I'm not sure if this is something I need to contact my host about or if this is an oscomemrce setting, but oscommerce sends the order update emails (like pending, processed, and delivered) the email that shows in the customers inbox as the sent from is >.
Email transport is Sendmail, send email is true, verify email address is false..
