Quick question... Is anyone trying to loose weight with Nutrisystem points? Looking forward for any comment. Another question... I;m packing this for my lunch at work tomorrow, but I've never had it and can't say I'm really looking forward to it. Does anyone add anything to this to make it more appealing? Maybe I'll like it just the way it is, but thought i'd ask..

Thanks!.

Jeanie..

The answer is Yes, but... you might want to make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the Nutrisystem guys because they can answer your Nutrisystem question better...

I make it into a franks and beans casserole -.

Slice two Hebrew National low fat hot dogs (or whatever brand you like).

Dice one slice of onion.

Mix both ingredients into the beans, add 1 tsp. mustard and 1 tsp barbecue sauce. Pour into a dish and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. You can also do this in the microwave, but I do not like nuked hot dogs..

WARNING - Be sure to drink extra water to counteract the sodium in the hot dogs! Also, do not eat in the day or two before weigh in because of sodium...

Thanks for your help everyone! Unfortunately, I was all packed for work and forgot the spicy mustard I was going to add. Had the soup just the way it was and to me, it was "OK." Not great, not terrible. Not sure if I will order it again. Thanks again!.

I add diced ham to this as my protein serving, gives it a little more substance. Spicy mustard would be a great addition too!..

You could also add chopped green pepper and chopped tomato. (which I do to regular baked beans.).

I also prefer chopped ham to the ff hot dogs...

I add ff ham too as my protein. I love the ham and bean soup. I ordered 8 of them...

I have it all the time. I don't usually do anything except heat...

I love it as is, but I also have added 2 of the ff hebrew national or canadian bacon...im sure ham would be good too...

I like the idea of adding some ham or green peppers. I guess that's what makes the world go round, not my favorite, but it is for some others. So far my favorites are the pizza and all the breakfasts.

I usually add a little diced ham and hot sauce. I like the idea of adding spicy mustard and a little brown sugar splenda for some variety...

I add chopped onion, one sliced HN hot dog, a single serve cup of crushed pineapple, drained, a sprinkle of brown sugar Splenda, a shot of catsup and one of mustard and cook until it is no longer soup. It's so good...

I also like it just as is.. but the brown sugar splenda idea is good...

I love the Beans and Ham. I add a spoonful of chunky salsa to mine, very good!..

This is so good, had it yesterday.. I added just normal splenda but brown sugar is a good idea.. I think I will order about 5 for next time.....

I love the chipotle flavored Tobasco sauce with this dish...smokey and spicy...and a little goes a long way..

I loved it as is, but I've always been a fan of a thick pinto bean soup. The only thing missing was cornbread...

I already like the Bean & Ham soup the way it is but now I am going to have to try jazzing it up with some of these suggestions...
