Of course! but... you might want to make sure and wait for another person here to confirm this as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you email the Dukan Diet guys because they can give you help better...
That sounds awesome!! I have all that in the fridge too! Ty for sharing..
Sounds really delicious! I love any kind of stuffed mushrooms. You posted in the correct place. This is for ANY recipes, using the entrees or just Dukan Diet friendly recipes!..
Ah, ok. Thanks. I started getting bored with veggies and wanted to try some new things. These were so good, my husband even ate them!..
I'm going to use fat free cream cheese instead of LC, just because I just couldn't come to terms with $5 for 8 tiny wedges of cheese, though I really, really wanted to try LC...so I went back to the cream cheese and got a FF one for a buck.....I used to make Crab Rangoon with wontons (before NS) so I know cream cheese makes a good "stuffing"..
Any ideas of how much FF cream cheese I can use?..
Do you have a Sam's club or are a member. I got 3 packs of Laughing Cow for a lot less there. About the same as 2 packs at Walmart, but my grocery store is out of site on the price. Will not pay it..
It is so good tho. I use cream cheese a lot tho..
Let us know how they come out. Love crab Rangoon...
$5 - ouch; that's insane for fake cheese. watch for it to go on sale and then you can buy a few since it has a ridiculously long shelf life. it is a good addition to the cup lunches to make it creamier...
I buy it at Trader Joes for $2.99 if you have one near you.....
Thanks for the great idea. Now I have to add these ingredients to my grocery list!.
If you have a Costco they have 4 pks of lc cheese for around $10.00..
I've never even heard of Trader Joe's, so I'm thinking I won't have luck with one nearby, but I'm going to search....
Yes, at my grocery store it was $4.99 and it was the round box that had 8 tiny wedges, I just couldn't do it...but I spent that same amount on Hebrew National 97% fat free hotdogs...but I got six of them, I think? Still outrageous!..
Do you have a Walmart Super Center? You can get both there, much cheaper..
Lo and behold, a Trader Joe's awaits just 11 miles from my house. I had no idea! Going tomorrow!..
All I can say now is....Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm.
I went to the SuperCenter, got three rounds of LC cheese and whaddya know, this SuperCenter sells mushroom caps, large ones, so I bought six...came home, mixed the cheese, crabmeat and seasons and stuffed the caps....I could eat this every day, it's wonderful!.
Thanks for the post!..
You definitely need to go to trader joe's too. lots of good stuff at good prices. the HN FF franks are about $3 (you prob got it about the same or a little better at Walmart - I don't have a Walmart convenient to me.
). can't find them cheaper unless they are on sale at the supermarket and then you can stock up and freeze them. search for the Trader Joe's shopping list threads on the board. the first time through the store it takes awhile to figure out what it's all about and then you know what to get. great for nuts and dried fruits, sliced portabello mushrooms always reasonable, shredded cheese, taylor ham.....
I'm going to have a ball in this store...tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and hubby has agreed to drive me up to Trader Joe's, and actually walk around with me, should be fun!.
I didn't find HN low fat dogs at SuperCenter, but got the laughing cow at half the grocery store price and found the Kraft FREE cheeses and got Mozerella..
I'm excited to go check this store out...
I figured this to be approx one dairy/protein, free food and a veg serving......
How do you figure this? I see the crab as a protein and the cheese as a dairy. How do they combine to one count? I see the mushroom is the veggie. what's the free food? thanks. I'm getting there......
For most plans, dairy & protein are interchangable. The Laughing Cow cheese does not qualify as a dairy/protein on it's own, because it doesn't have enough protein (a protein serving needs a.
Of 7g protein, 100 calories or less, 3g fat or less). But combined with the crab meat, which is very low calorie, it makes one whole protein serving. I don't know if the OP was counting the cheese as a free food, but it has too many calories to be free, and does work as a protein with the crab meat. Sounds yummy to me!!!..
