Wow lol 10k for nothing.
What domains were you planning to get? ..just curious..
I actually wanted to develop iphonehacker...
Isn't Apple a bitch about their trademarks?.
Those domains you got ain't bad...
Typically ... but I'm pretty sure Cisco has the trademark on the word iPhone. I could be wrong, but whether it's Cisco or Apple, it doesn't really matter they are both bigger than most domainers.
Those are the domains I didn't get because I waited an extra day. The only two I got were:.
I think those are the domains he wanted to get but couldn't...
As I mentioned above, I was pretty sure Cisco had the trademark on iPhone..
Cisco Systems has filed a lawsuit against Apple accusing the company.
Of infringing it's iPhone trademark, the networking company said.
The suit also accuses the iPod maker used a front company to try to.
Acquire rights to the name..
Cisco accused Apple in a suit filed in United States District Court.
For the Northern District of California of willingly infringing its.
Trademark when it announced the new iPhone at the Macworld Expo in.
San Francisco on Tuesday............
As soon as I saw the announcement on TV I hit up on hundreds of domains and all the good ones were already gone...
You guys missed this, the time to jump on board with domains is when the rumours start, years before anything materializes. Is it more work? Hell yeah. I did this with some generic drugs which ended up getting rejected by the fda anyways...
Yeah but you end up with hundreds of pointless domains that have 0 traffic.
I did this last year and 85% of the domains have now expired because the products were never released or were released under different names..
These "iPhone" domains will all be pursued by Cisco/Apple and end up back in the hands of the rightful trademark owners. simple as that, it's against the law..
I know, because I have been forced to turn over every trademarked domain I was lucky enough to get registered.
You can ride them out until the copyright holder gets wind of it..
Here's an excerpt from the attorney for the very last one I had registered:.
"Please contact me, either by e-mail at: ***@****.com or by calling (504) 731-7296, so that we may proceed with your completing the NSI Registrant Name Change Agreement or the equivalent and transferring ****products.com to ****. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. As I mentioned previously, if you fail to contact me by January 19th, I will pursue ****s trademark rights under both the UDRP and the Lanham Act. I thank you in advance for cooperating with my client in this matter."..
Well hopefully that's not the case. There are tons of ipod domain names out there ipodlounge.com, etc...
Im sure like 20 iphone forums have already been launched....
Too many webmaster sedo domain speculators these days. The 90's were a goldmine for that kind of stuff. Now everyone is doing it...
Dont load these domains with spyware or any bad shit and you will be fine. Apple or whoever will not take back iphone domains, like they dont do anything about ipod domains and microsoft dont do anything about xbox 360 domains...
I got me Free Apple iPhone ... was real late on it...
I spent about $120 on iphone domains.. if this shit flops I'ma be upset..lol.. whatever tho - live and learn right? any1 interested in buying?..
Those are pretty bad. Oh well at least you wont make that mistake again....
Well I managed to get iphonemusic.co.uk and iphoneaccessories.co.uk but I got them last year before everyone started grabbing them..
