Got a question... I'm on a shake Dukan Diet? How did/is your Dukan Diet going? Thanks in advance for any answer. Another question on my mind: When I first had the scones, I loved them- ugh, I upped my order of them and now I'm choking them down. Any ideas on how to dress them up and make them taste and feel a little bit less like particle board? I saw the shortcake idea, but I'm allergic to strawberries...hmmm, maybe bananas?.

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could assist you..

How about bread pudding? The bread pudding has been around forever, using those blueberry muffins (or orange cranberry danish). I've made it with the apple scone - tastes pretty darned good..

How about a fruit and yogurt parfait?.

I remember seeing something about a "french toast" type breakfast using the scones..

I heat them up and then sprits a little ICBINB on them. I'm still loving them. They are one of my favorite breakfast items right now...

French toast Scones:.

Cut scone in half. Dip in 1 beaten egg (or egg beaters). "Fry" in a non-stick skillet, sprayed with non-stick spray...

I toast mine in a pan, then spray ICBNB on them and then lay a "fried" egg on them. I love the egg yolk taste and the scone taste. I then chase it down with 1/2 cup apple juice...

Here's a listing of stuff to do with the muffins that I've been posting for years most ideas should work with scones just as well.

What to do with the muffins:.

1) Cut in or 1/3 spritz with butter spray & toast, top with ff cream cheese, sugar free fruit spread, or both. Get DaVinci or Torani sugar free syrups, drizzle 1+ tsp on muffin before heating plain vanilla if topping with something else fruit flavors work, so can a number of other "coffee" flavorings - go nuts and experiment!.

2) My favorite - slice & top rounds with spoonfuls of cottage cheese (1/4 cup total) mixed with sweetener & couple drops of vanilla flavor (and a drop or two of any other flavoring you like, rum & butter is good, so is coconut & almond) - broil a minute or two to melt cheese = pseudo danish.

3) Cut em in , dip in cup egg substitute (with sweetener to taste) & fry with some butter spray = french toast.... OR cut in or 1/3 and put in small baking pan with 2T sweetened egg subst, top with other 2T (to make cup sub = protein svg), sprinkle with cinnamon and bake = baked french toast. Top with fruit or SF syrup. Have other cup egg sub scrambled to complete the protein, or add 2 tbsp ff shredded cheese to lunch or dinner salad..

4) Make bread pudding - see The-Jazzman's recipe in my Breakfast file...

5) Mash frozen blueberries in bowl, crumble Muffins into and mix, top with drizzle sf maple syrup ( 20 cal worth), microwave until hot......

6) Crumble them into yogurt or FF cool whip... Use some thawed frozen strawberries (or blueberries) w/splenda added, heat in the microwave top with yogurt or cool whip, tastes like a strawberry (blueberry) shortcake for breakfast....

7) Prep in advance take muffins and poke holes in them with fork, pour some SF jello over them presto chango = jello cake!!! Put in refrig for a couple hours and have as dessert with a spoonful of FF cool whip (swap breakfast & dessert have biscotti for breakfast to "swap) does not replace the real thing but not bad....

8) Make Dukan Diet McGriddle see recipe in my Breakfast file.....

My husband stockpiles those Apple Sconeshe loves them soooo much. I wonder if I could convince him to let me make french toast? That sounds SUPER!..

Because of Thanksgiving and the making of cranberry relish with fresh cranberries, I have come to love it's powerful flavor boost. (It takes about 10 minutes to boil the berries in a little orange juice and sweeten with Splenda. It will last for weeks in the fridge.).

Back on topic. Today I split a scone, did the broil with cottage cheese thing. (As per Graylady's point #2) After it was done, I topped it with a couple tablespoons of cranberry relish. The flavor was intense and a nice change from a lot of the bland food I've been eating...

That is exactly what I do - except I didn't order the chocolate chip ones anymore - there was a little taste that I started to not like. but the other ones are delightful!!..

I totally can relate to your story. I loved them at first too and then I went through a period of not liking them. Here's what I do, I heat them up, sometimes in the microwave other times in the toaster, sometimes I'll add Cool Whip (Free) to them, other times low-cal syrup, and sometimes fruit. It really helps to jazz them up. Best of luck!..

I also do not like the chocolate chip ones and I like Dukan Diet chocolate but there was something about the taste that just didn't do it for me...

I had the chocolate chip scones made into bread pudding this morning - with a small banana on the side and a little WF chocolate syrup drizzled over the top of both. The only thing that was missing was the FF Cool Whip or Redi-Whip.....need to put those on the grocery list.

Now this isn't an every morning thing - but not bad on occasion...
