That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you help..
Thanks Lynn!! I had emailed Christina but she didn't have anything yet, but the sweetie that she is, she's 'working on it'..
Just thought I would put this out there in case someone had done it and I missed the post since I haven't really spent as much time on the boards lately.........not like I used to!!!!.
Thanks Christina! You are a sweetheart for doing that!!!..
Well Anne I made a version this morning that tasted fantastic, but I don't know if it will be the texture you're looking for. I will post it here in a bit, but I want to try a couple of different things to see if I can get it more dense. I haven't had the Dukan Diet version so it's really hard to duplicate something you've never had!! LOL! I'm just going by the texture of the apple cinnamon scone. Are they similar?..
Yes it is the same texture, dense like that, just cc instead of the apples.........LOL. You know how their food is, not very diverse!!!.
Thanks so much for playing around with it...
I don't know if this is what you are looking for but SkinnyJeans had come up with this one a while ago - it was posted on the board at that time. I had something similar to this one this morning - but I'm going to try this tomorrow to see if it's any different (this one used a little pancake mix that the one this morning didn't have and a lot less oat flour).
1 tbsp oat flour (ground rolled oats).
1 1/2 tbsp whole wheat baking mix (e.g. Insta Bake).
1 tbsp Valrhona cocoa.
2 tbsp Splenda.
1 tbsp brown splenda.
1 tsp ff margarine.
Tsp baking powder.
Tsp baking soda.
1 tbsp any whey protein powder.
3 tbsp ff buttermilk.
1 ts caramel sf Archer Farms syrup.
1 tbsp mini chocolate chips.
Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees. Combine oat flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, splenda and ff margarine and stir to combine. Add wet ingredients and stir to combine. Put in a prepared mini scone pan.. Bake @400 for15 minutes. All 4 of the scones are your breakfast entree.
This scone has a very light texture, almost like a brownie...
Thanks Kathie. It is similar to what I already make. But I will try her recipe too and see. I am looking for something that is more dense, like the Dukan Diet scones.......but I'll let you know. Thanks for posting it!!!!..
After many tries at this (this is one of the hardest ones I've ever tried to do! LOL!!) I think I may just have it. I'll report back once it's out of the oven and I taste it. I will still post a couple of the other versions that I did because while they aren't the consistancy and texture of a scone, they taste fabulous. Like a chocolate chip cookie cake! I'm hoping the one I have in the oven now will be more of what you're looking for though..
Keeping my fingers crossed!!..
Thanks, can't wait to see the recipe and give it a shot!!!..
