First off, If I exercise but don't Dukan Diet strictly is it worth it? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: On a whim, I made a recipe on a baking mix box & changed it a little. I'm at high altitude & needed to do some extra for that, too..

I used:.

1 C. LF baking mix + 1 Tbsp.+ 3 tsp..

4 tsp. vital wheat gluten.

3/4 C Splenda.

1/3 C orange juice.

Zest of one orange..

3 Tbsp. applesauce.

1 tsp. orange extract.

2 egg whites.

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Generously grease & flour (cooking spray) a 9X5 loaf pan. In a med-sized bowl, combine cake ingredients. Blend on low speed until ingredients are moistened; beat 3 min. at med speed. Pour into prepared pan.

Or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove cake from oven. Prick deeply every inch with fork. In a small bowl, blend 3/4 C powdered sugar & 4 tsp. lemon juice until smooth.

Let stand 10 min.: invert onto serving plate. Spoon remaining glaze over the cake. Yield 8 servings..

I won't do the glaze & may sprinkle a dusting of powdered sugar over it..

Don't have any stats, either. Any way, I need help in what to do to use this as a dessert or part breakfast..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably know..

You'll need to analyze the components to see what is in it and by the way, tabs don't work on the bb's, so it's very difficult to read your list of ingredients.

Figure the number of exchanges in the total recipe - then divide by number of servings....

Both breakfast & dessert entrees work roughly to 1 dairy/protein + 1 carb.

Then it's a matter of what additional grocery additions are in the mix to see what you've used in each serving have whenever you want, just adjust the rest of your day to compensate....

I didn't use tabs, just spaces, so I added the parentheses. Sheesh, it still isn't very readable. I'll try the daily plate..

I just had a piecewonderful! I didn't have anything but fruit for breakfast, so I'll just have to figure out what I have left...

Well, I did enter it into the Daily Plate & noticed that they called Vital wheat gluten as nuggets?? After I entered it, I couldn't find it, so I will have to pursue this again tomorrow since I have to go to work soon...

Question- Do you have the stats from the box for the baking mix and wheat gluten?..

Oh, thanks!.

Baking mix is 1/3 C = 150 calories, 3 g fat, 27 g carbs, 4 g protein.

Wheat gluten is 4 tsp. = 40 calories, 3 g carbs, 8 g protein.

Oh my that sounds good!!! The stats would be really easy to figure out for this one. For the baking mix, 3 tsp is the same thing as a tbsp, so you used 1c+ 2 tbsp. I could figure it up for you real quick, but I'd need the calories from the OJ carton. Every brand varies so much! The splenda is 96 cals a cup. I may try this recipe with some Insta bake and make it into muffins or a bun for a single serving!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!..

Hey there Miss Carol! How are you?? My hubby leaves tomarrow for 7 months! Sigh.... I'm gettin' too old for this! Especially with a toddler who's deciding to enter the terrible 2's early!!! LOL!! I've been spoiled by the girls for years now, I forget how nuts little boys can get!!!..

I just squeezed a real orange, Chris. You may not need the extra Tbsp. I added for the high altitude..

I cut it into 8 pieces & put each into a sandwich bag & into a gallon freezer bag to grab & go..

I went back to the Daily Plate tonight & looked for what I'd put in again & it did show this. How close does this come to what you figure, Chris?.

It somehow got the extra baking mix wrong, but I think I wouldn't add the extra Tablespoon of baking mix, so I'll try to change it on the Daily Plate..

Thanks, Judi, I have seen it mentioned before, but just couldn't figure out whether it was something on the Dukan Diet site or elsewhere. I hope it is very user intuitive or I'll never be able to use it...

I just made this a little earlier. Had a piece for my dessert. I thought it needed a lot more flavor. Maybe it was just me. I made the glaze with powder sugar but not nearly as much as it called for. If it was not for that, it would have been a bit tasteless to me. Maybe it was just me tho...

Did you use the orange extract & orange zest? Mine was yummy, but each of us has different tastes..
