I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably can help you..
The images haven't been deleted though... I even tried adding them again... and this is a client I'm working for, guess she hasn't done the Verisign hosting plan right...
Maybe when you added the more pictures contribution, you changes how it looks at the file path? It PROBABLY has to do with that, if that was the most recent thing you were working on when it broke.
Check your server to make sure that the files are THERE, because that should be the first obvious thing to check.. Otherwise, uninstall or check the filepath for the upload of the thumbnail...
And yea, WHAT is the godaddy crap?? it's even on your large pop up images!..
Well, I tried adding a new product with fresh uploaded pictures and, it still breaks the thumbnails. How would I go about checking the paths? And again, the client I'm working for just needs to upgrade I guess...
Where did you get the Basic Theme from ? all that crap at the top must of come from the theme you put on I would take it all back off and start again..
Re-installing only takes a few mins thats what I would do..
This is the theme I got:.
But, the GoDaddy stuff is put on their by Go Daddy, it's always been there. I just want to fix the thumbnails...
What theme?? I dont see any THEME in your site, just the stock oscommerce...
DEFINITELY remove the "theme" because basically where ever you got it from, the added that adwords code so that everytime someone clicks on those links up there, THEY get paid.. Remove your theme, start over, and do it yourself wiuth contributions..
Cant see go daddy putting it on there but even if they did I would get rid of it all it looks crap..
How do you get re-installing to only take a few minutes?..
Ok.. uninstall the "design pack" and re-do it with the version BEFORE the thumbnailer added. Clearly there are some bugs. Then get a different contribution that will do thumbnails for you.. or just give you a place to put a file path to existing thumbnails.. I prefer club osc thumbnails contribution..
Not my place to take it off, it's my clients decision if she wants to pay extra to get rid of it...
I just login via ftp and upload it all takes less than 5 mins for a basic shop..
Maybe you can just give them a clue.. tell them what it does to the reliability and quality of their site.. not to mention the fact that the more content you add, the more those adds will turn to related content which means they will loose customers due to clicking OFF their site.. AND I can imagine that when you install SSL it will be a nightmare..
Yeah, I don't like dealing with the contributions that much, and some of the above instructions aren't written to a point that I can understand so... just doing the next best thing. Thanks for your help though guys. Stinks, every time I seem to upload ANY contribution, something breaks. This is probably the 5th time I've re-installed. I might go with another shopping cart script....
I dont think changing scripts is going to help unless you find something like wordpress where you just enable addons.. It is clearly not something with oscommerce, but with the way you are installing.. yes, SOME addons are not coded well, but you can do your research and find out the best one to add.. The "design pack" was just a package of contributions, and unless you can custom code yourself, ANY opensource shopping cart is going to require you to add contributions in which the only variable will be you..
Instead of giving up, just step back and look at what you did.. then fix it. Are you a web designer? you keep saying client..If so, then you should WANT to learn this to continue your knowledge.. when I started, I didnt know anything.. and I have successfully customized my store A LOT. Do you have a Merge tool like winMerge and diffMerge??? That will be a HUGE help..
That fresh install you have just as still left all the go daddy crap at the top I have installed shops on go daddy and never had that on there..
Lol at lindsay how many times do you want tell us.

Sorry.. there was a glitch.. it just hung there, so oi kept clicking ADD REPLY.. I didnt know it kept going through...
Airbrush, GoDaddy doesnt require it, but I think they offer it. They try to intice you to put that code there by telling you that you can pay for your own Verisign hosting with it.. But it's not required by godaddy.. not that I know of. I too have worked on sites with godaddy..
You dont have to say sorry I thought it was really funny and your reply make me laugh to..
Hey guys, my thumbnails seem to have broken while trying to install some "Basic Theme". I've tried to restore the original files but, that doesn't seem to have worked. Here's the website:.
Please, if anyone can help me fix this that would be great, I don't like the idea of re-installing.....
Looks like all the images are missing and why as your store got all that go daddy rubish at the top..
