Your question was: I have a site hosted by godaddy and I was using it's Control Center and my pictures won't show up on ?
I knew when they first sent this it was leading to something. Just received this email: One of the criteria that we as a registrar are supposed to review is the ownership of a HostGator name, a question on the ownership is call for a denial of the transfer. Who owns the HostGator name?.
I emailed them back-.
This is crazy.....
Wow sure you are not dealing with ipower or 1and1?! What morons..
Good luck Gary!..
They are Dickheads and like you say, stalling - I just had the same problem and by the time I actually got a useful answer from them it was too late to transfer it out, I think it was about $ 17 or so renewal but by then I did'nt have much choice.
It should be called - Getyernameifyoucan.com !.
Their website is soooo fugly too.
If you have any names with them I recommend you don't wait until anywhere near renewal time to move it.
Ps - I very much doubt they are owned by snapnames, snapnames are usually excellent to deal with IMO.
Are you talking about Name.com? I reg many names with them because they're cheap but haven't tried to transfer out yet so can't comment.
Name.com is owned by DomainSite.com..
Name.com is the best registrar I have ever seen. No funny complex interface, no need to email for your authorization code etc etc. And lowest cost..
I dont have problem to transfer out of them...
I assumed he meant these guys www.getyername.com.
I'v never had any problems with Name.com & Domainsite.com either.
From getyername.com ?
No, for name.com Transfer Outs. I have in the past some problems with domainsite propagation times, but name.com is one of my low cost transfers ( www2.stargate.com at 5.95 is the other )..
[QUOTE=gazzip]I assumed he meant these guys www.getyername.com.
Yes, getyername. Started the transfer, will post if it goes through.
Oh, ok. Never heard about these guys before. Is that a site or just a light blue page with a few bits of text & links?.
Looks absolutely shocking IMO..
Yup ...especially for a company calling themselves Aim High!, Inc.
If they aim any higher they'll shoot themselves in the foot.
How many people have you blinded with that site?.
I'm trying to get a domain, using both snapnames and pool...thanks for sharing the experience though, will try to transfer immediately if snapnames gets it...
