What did you do to prepare yourself while waiting for your first food order to arrive? What did you find that was helpful and what wasn't? I should have mine early next week as it was shipped today..

Thank you Pam. I have been looking at the website, but missed most of those you are talking about. I have been watching what I eat the last few days, but gave myself a trip to one of my fav resturants today for something I know I really have to give up. Tomorrow I am going to be careful. Water is not normally a problem. Again thanks..

1. I told people that I had signed up. It made me feel accountable so when the box arrived I was ready and in the right mindset to get started.

2. I went to the grocery store to purchase things that were intended just for the plan....not a lot, just enough to get me started. I went by kids or husband and made that trip just about my needs..

3. I gradually increased my water intake.

4. I tried to be more consious of what I was eating.No last binges, or "this is my last french fry, ice cream, potato chip" or anything like that.

I didn't feel sorry for myself, I was excited to finally let go of those unhealthy things and looked forward to meeting the healthier, happier me...

I told myself this was going to work- and I never looked back,( unless to see how far I had come, and where I never want to be again.).

I also detoxed myself. There was no last supper. I started with the lists I saw on the food threads before I ever received my BBB..

It was and is: ALL IN.

I didn't do much to prepare myself besides fixing sugar free jellos for snacks and switching my soda intake from regular to diet, I also started adding in diet tea then...

Hello Pam.. I am starting the program soon, I quit smoking in Dec 08. 1 yr and four months ago. I never had a weight problem before, since Jan 2010 I have managed to maintain, I have seemed to quit gaining, I walk on the treadmill 5 days a week at a 5 incline, 2.7 miles a hour and burn 400 calories.. I can hardly stop the gain.. I never weighted myself before I think I have gained around 30 pounds.

I am 52 years old.. menopause weight gain as well!! Can this program help me....

I would talk to one of the NutriSystem Dietitians or to my personal physician, ohcanada. You could write to the dietitians at and repeat what you wrote above and see what she says. I know that NutriSystem has been a miracle worker for me! Best to you...
