How to improve Medifast hot cocoa?

I tried the hot cocoa the other day and did not like it at all. I was so disappointed because I'm a huge hot cocoa fan. Do you all have any tricks to make it taste better? So far, I have eaten everything as is but I don't know if I can tolerate this as is...

Try making it with cold coffee (decaf preferred of course!). It really improves the flavor. Personally I switched to the dark chocolate antioxidant shakes and had them hot instead all last winter. They just seem to taste better and more like the hot cocoa I want. I have a stash saved for this winter...

Yes, drink it cold mixed in a Magic Bullet! One of my favs that way. I drink ALL the hot drinks cold. You can also do what MT does and drink it with coffee, I do that sometimes if I drink it early in the day, but later I just put a little crushed ice, water and the shake in th MB. Yum!..

I put a dollop of Walden Farms Marshmallow dip in it with 6 ounces water, whir it up in the magic bullet then heat it up in the microwave.

Or just like cake batter with a little water mixed in it (feels like I am licking the bowl).

Or as a cold shake.

I didn't care for the fudge drops so much but I did like crushed cinnamon pretzels mixed in the hot cocoa batter and frozen for a few minutes. Not too long or the pretzels get mushy..

Hi there,.

I like the hot cocoa without any changes, so I might not be the best person to suggest changes to it ... but I really like to add some of the caramel SF coffee syrup and some instant coffee crystals. I blend it well with about 1/4 cup of water, let it sit for a few minutes, then add the remaining water (I use more than they suggest) and heat it in the microwave. I think it tastes like a caramel mocha concoction from a coffee shop..

I add cinnamon and vanilla extract to mine and it is yummy, have not tried it with the coffee yet but I am going to put the leftover coffee from this morning in the fridge now...

The other night I was craving a peppermint mocha. So I made hot choc. (I add a little water then stir with a fork to get out clumps before adding the rest of the water) heated it up for 2 mins and added instant coffee and a couple of drops of peppermint extract (don't add more than a couple drops, it can easily overwhelm it). It was so yummy! I think that will be a staple during the holidays..

I don't like the hot cocoa "as is" either...for me it's just too sweet. I put it in a larger mug and used a little more water and then added the no sugar davinci raspberry syrup to change the flavor a bit. It is still not may favorite, but at least the remaining packages won't go to waste. I doubt I will ever order it...

I mix hot cocoa and cappichino with flavored decaf coffees from Gevalia. I've spaced out my shipements every 4-6 months or so. It really is a great brand.

I also use leftover cold coffee to mix shakes with ice. So many people have said and I agree, It's like you bought something from Starbucks...

MIx hot cocoa with 1/2 T of SF PB (1/2 snack) and 2-3 T of water til consistency of toothpaste, drop rounds of the mixture onto a sheet of wax paper and freeze. They are like little peanut butter cups, mmmm.mmmm.....

I mix mine with quite a bit of coffee in the blender and then pour it into a big mug and microwave it to get it hot again. It is much better that way or as a cold shake made with ice and cold coffee in the blender IMO...
