During the week, it is easy. I have such a regular schedule and my work actually does a great job at distracting me from eating. But, today, Saturday...I'm lost. I have been sticking with the diet but I'm so hungry right now. I know if I eat an early dinner I'll be starving by tonight. Two questions:.

1. How does everyone else handle the weekends?.

2. Is there anything I can eat that won't negatively impact my diet?..

I've failed on the weekends simply because we are usually out and about somewhere I don't have access to the proper add ins. I just have been trying to limit portion size and make better choices but sometimes those choices aren't available. I just do the best I can and recommit fully every Monday lol. So far it hasn't had too terrible a negative impact on my weight loss...

Weekends are really hard for me too. We eat out at least twice on the weekend sometimes three times. I try to make good choices but sometimes don't. I made my WI's on Sunday to try to make me stay on track but even that doesn't work sometimes. This weekend has been awful cause I don't feel great and worked out really hard today anyway and have eaten all day long and not always good things. Hope to be better tomorrow and that the scale doesn't show up too much. Long story just to say I totally agree and struggle over the weekends a lot...

I structure the weekends the same as my work day. If I'm out, like I was today, I pack my add-ins in my cooler bag and take them with me..

At my home we've had to take the emphasis off of food as fun on the weekends. We used to use eating out as our main source of entertainment. It's taken a while but now we center our attention on a movie or a walk or shopping as "fun" and try and eat at home beforehand. If we do go out to dinner we plan strategically ahead of time what we're going to have..

We're learning to eat to live and not live to eat. Just try and keep to a schedule...

HUGE salads, including one late at night well AFTER dinner. Done every day, whether hungry or not. Next problem?..

No structure on the weekends makes it hard. I usually try to keep a few of the snacks in my car, so if were out then I dont have to cheat...

When the afternoon munchies hit on the weekends, be prepared with a NS-compliant snack. Sometimes it's cucumbers and fat free ranch dressing for dip, sometimes it's shrimp cocktail counted toward my afternoon protein for a snack. Have the fridge filled with yogurt and fruit so a snack is easy to grab..

Plan ahead and follow the plan!!..

You need to take the focus off you're food and find other things to keep you from getting bored. Make a to-do list of stuff you can do around the house, and stick it to the fridge. When you find yourself roaming, pick an item off the list to keep you busy. You can also have unlimited veggies like cucumbers or celery. The main thing is identify why you have this issue on the weekends, and find solutions to it. Is it just boredom, is it running errands, is it old habits...Once you identify what causes the issue, you can solve it. Hang in there...
