If you like the Nutrisystem breakfast & lunch bars, you can sub them for either Atkins, South Beach Living, or Zone Bars (just to name a few). They are easy to pack & carry and very convenient if you feel you can't decide what to eat. They can be purchased almost anywhere (grocery stores, Walmart, Target, etc)...
Linda, are the calories, fat, protein, etc. pretty close to the Nutrisystem bars? I have wondered what I will do when I no longer buy the Nutrisystem food but want to follow the plan. I do really good with the different bars and fruit/veggies/protein during the day so maybe those will help...
Depending on the bars, the stats are pretty close but you need to look at them closely as many bars are not comparable. Take the stats of the Nutrisystem products with you (you can get them all from the ordering page) and go to the store with them and match up the calories, fat, protein, carbs, etc. to find the appropriate subs for each category...

Granola cereal mixed with vanilla yogurt for breakfast & half a cup of apple juice = Nutrisystem entree, dairy, & fruit..
Thanks everyone! These REALLY are helpful suggestions. Since I am not yet on maintenance, I have not perfected the art of not relying on Nutrisystem food as my staple with stuff added to it. I will be heading to the store today for some substitutes to take with me and I keep repeating my mantra..."salad...veggies. salad..veggies!".
If you have huge salad and veggies when out at the restaurants, it makes it easier to have a smaller or healthier entree and pass on appetizer, dessert, drinks. Salads and veggies are the core of the diet...
