My 1st question is: How much damage will my Dukan Diet this weekend do to me? Many thanks for any comment. My 2nd question... Remember the Watergate salad of bygone years? Tonight I took MyDaneRocks' orange fluff idea and adapted it. I used:.

1/4 c. cottage cheese.

2 T. ff Cool Whip.

1/3 c. pineapple cut into chunks.

Pinch of sf/ff pistachio pudding mix.

Worked like a charm. Think we can do lots with MDR's idea!!!.

Fruit + protein + free food..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you an answer..

What do you mean watergate salad of bygone years?!? It's a family favorite at my house!.

I will definately be trying out your version very soon, just need to stop by the store!.

I could use some new ideas for the pm snack of fruit and dairy/protein. So this might be a good one to try out this week..

Thanks for the idea!..

At our house we used to make a recipe we called green cottage cheese. I just adapted it to use sf/ff ingredients..

1 container FF cottage cheese.

1 package SF lime jello.

1 small can crushed pinapple (drained).

1/4 container FF Cool Whip.

Mix all together and chill.

Haven't added all the totals ref stats, but a small serving can't be too far off..

I've made it now and again during my weight loss journey...

Wonder if the Watergate salad came out way back, when Watergate was happening. Anyone know?..

I think the original, is from the Watergate Hotel..

A few checks confirm this..

Poster states: I got the recipe from the chef at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC where the recipe originated. If you want the same one served there that was made famous there....this is it..

Although, I am having a hard time believing that back in the 50s when it was most popular, that a chef was using instant pudding and canned pineapple in this 4-5 star hotel. Did they even have non-dairy topping back then? Wouldnt a chef just use DAIRY topping ?

I've never heard of Watergate salad, although this recipe looks a lot like Ambrosia....are they the same thing? Or perhaps one is adapted from the other?..
