Quick question... How might Dukan Diet defiency weaken a person's resistance to disease? Many thanks for any comment. Another question I got... I was reading Lisa's recipe on the main screen. I saw "free food". I have no idea what that is..but I want to know. What is FREE FOOD?..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you an answer..

Anything that is under 20 calories. You are allowed to eat up to 3 "free foods" a day, although it is not recommended that they be used together..

There is a list floating around on the food talk page that has some examples, but it's basically following the 20 cal. rule..

And I see Pam beat me to it with the more thorough answer. Its great to have her around!!! Thanks, Pam...

BE CAREFUL WITH THE FREE FOODS!! I got too relaxed with free foods I was probably using about 100 to 120 cal of free foods a day that did NOT help my weight loss...I actually stopped seeing the pounds drop and decided I HAVE TO BE MORE CAREFUL... and that decision was made yesterday and today I got back down to the 154.3 which was my lowest weight on Dukan Diet so far so I am happily back on my way to getting below that... It wasn't even that I was using all different foods the problem was I was not measuring what I was using... BAD IDEA.... ALWAYS MEASURE ......

I realized that too a few months after I started! I was adding a dollup of sour cream and cool whip here and there and not measuring. There is a big difference between measuring a tablespoon of coolwhip and eyeballing it! Glad you are seeing better results now...keep it up!..

Hehe yeah a dollop and a tablespoon are a bit different hehehe....

Thank you!..

I agree !! since I found out about free foods I noticed ive been at a standstill...even though I try to remember to log them I think I forget to sometimes then may use more then the 3 allowed and I AGREE with the dollop versus the tablespoon!!! so I'm going back to basics today!!! no free foods for me except for the low sodium chicken broth for my lunches cause it's the only way I can squeeze all those veggies in without feeling like I turned into a rabbit lol..

I dont really need the ff cool whip on my desserts anyways I always thought they were good before I started buying that anyways...

These free foods are hard to keep track of, you think whip cream, then another time you have SF candy or gum, then whatever else,I agree it does add up! OH LORD...
