I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..
Welcome aboard...no, it's not any easier at 30....I turn 31 in just a few months...and if I keep at it I may hit my goal by then...I'm trying to think positive about it..
Just keep motivated, stay positive and always remember what you are doing this for....you...
Thanks everyone. The BBB is probably still on the way since it has only been one day since I have ordered. Has anyone else done the Select plan?..
Welcome Bzabler and good luck. I haven't done the select plan but If it's anything like the regular Nutrisystem you're going to love the results. Stick to it and you'll be there in no time...
I'm on day 2 of the Select Plan..
However, my frozen items haven't come yet (they're coming 1/20) so I'm starting with the shelf stable stuff until they do...
Oddly I started at 30 as well. Must be that landmark catalyst for change...
I'm doing Select and have been since January 1. I really like-to-love the frozen selections. I totally destroyed a sloppy joe recipe recently and had to throw it out, but that was on me, not NS...
Welcome and good luck! This is Day 9 for me and it's been great so far. Easy and very delicious!!!..
Welcome to the assyl...erm...club!.
Hopefully you'll get lots of support and advice. My advice is thiskeep things simple..
Go for walks, use a bike or treadmillsimple exercise..
Eat fresh veggies and fruits (less prep time)..
FOLLOW THE DAM@ GUIDEBOOK (lmao).
Nothing special about NS. They don't put magic dust in anything..
Frequent eating during the day (6+x)..
LOW, LOW fat..
Lots of water..
Ta-da! Whole program..
It will absolutely work. Don't cheat. Work to make today 100%. Then work tomorrow on making tomorrow and 100% day. Repeat..
I won't wish you "good luck"luck has.
To do with it. If you really (Really!) follow the program you will lose weight. If you don't lose weightyou are not following the program..
Not sure how else to put it!.
Deserve your own best effort, man..
I have the exercise thing down pretty well. I'm active duty military so that means an hour of workout at least 4 times a week. I just got back from a deployment of working night shift and not having a workout partner during the last 6 months zapped my motivation. I might try to get an extra cardio session in on the days that we do muscle endurance training. My problem has always been portion size so this can really help me with that..
I can't wait for the BBB to get here!..
If you are exercising that much, call a counselor when the BBB arrives and map out additions to your meals on workout days. You don't want your body going into starvation mode and zapping your metabolism (and thus your weight loss)...
Welcome, Newbies! It really works regardless of age. I'm in my 50's and had good results. Just make sure you use the meal planner and check off the little boxes every day for as long as it takes to get the pattern imprinted. It seems daunting at first, but it's not that bad once you get it..
Congrats for making this decision while you're young! You've got a long life of health and active fitness ahead of you. Portion control is really what it's all about, A whole new mind set. When I started, I could not believe what was considered a main entre. I also could not believe that it was enough to satisfy. It was! That's the magic of NS..
The BBB just got here and the frozen meals are 3 days away. I am as excited as a kid on Christmas. There's nothing wrong with that is there? :-)..
I did this a couple of years ago and had great results - then sadly.... so I came back last night. I ordered the program with the Fresh/Frozen foods this time. I don't recall that being available when I did this before..
I am really looking forward to getting the delivery and starting up again...
Hey what is the longest anyone here has been able to maintain the Nutrisystem diet? I've heard that it can get monotonous. I'm on my second day, and so far I've liked 80% of the shelf-stable foods. And, I could eat the pizza 7nights a week!.
I've got about 35 pounds to lose and am hoping to pull that off my mid May. Is that doable?..
I'm new as well but having read a lot of posts, and there are a lot of success stories out there. These guys have accomplished a lot...
Some people have been on Nutrisystem for 5 years because they use the food for maintenance, too. I eat the pizza at least 4 times per week, sometimes more. My last order had 20 pizzas! Yummy!.
To lose 35 lbs in approximately 17 weeks requires 2 lbs per week. Are you impressed with my math skills? Reaching this goal depends on your current body fat % (or BMI if you don't know body fat), your age and sex, and your commitment to exercise. As you get closer to goal, it takes a lot longer and a ton more discipline to get there...
The food does not get monotonous (IMO). The only meal that I find limited is Lunch, but thats more because I've limited myself on what I really like, and need to expand that some more. You will find you have favorites and you'll order more of those things. But be careful as you can burn yourself out on those items if you aren't careful (I've about done that to myself with the BBQ Soy Chips. Over ordered them last time, and while I still like them, I'm a little tired of them almost every day)..
The big thing (for me) with Nutrisystem is getting creative with your add ins. I change up my dinner all the time by doing different things with the huge heapings of veggies I will eat. Sometimes I steam things, sometimes I stir Fry (and when I stir fry, I'll use different spices or different combos to change that up), sometimes I eat them raw. So even eating the same Nutrisystem entree, I don't feel it's the same with the sides around it changing (I love the Nutrisystem Chilli for dinner and have that quite a bit and haven't minded that at all)..
As for 35 pounds in 17 weeks... For men, we lose faster than women, and that is more than doable. If you follow the plan to the letter and put in time doing cardio or somesuch, you'll knock 35 pounds out in less time then you'll expect..
Welcome and good luck! Post in here often to help keep yourself on track and ask questions if you aren't sure or need ideas. And get yourself a ticker in your signature so we can all see your progress. I personally prefer the line graph style as it keeps you more honest with your weightloss as people can see your ups and downs.....
I lost 35 lb in 1 1/2 months when I first started..
