Got a question, hope someone can answer... How many calories are the equivilent of Nutrisystem points? Looking forward for any comment. Another question... Huge Pizza (counts as Nutrisystem lunch (plus protein with the pepperoni!).
Counts as: either lunch and free food: 213 calories (without pepperoni), lunch and protein (add pepperoni), or to lessen the calories, count the egg whites as half of your protein and only have half serving of pepperoni making lunch:173 calories, and protein 80 (egg whites, and 1/2 srv. turkey pepperoni) That's what I did..
You could also make this dinner by counting the whole thing (pepperonis included) to be 293 calories....
2.5 tbsp. white flour (78.571427 calories).
*sub whole wheat flour if you are staying true to the low-GI aspect!.
1 tbsp. soy flour (if you don't have soy flour, use another tbsp. of white, but your 'entree' will lack more in the protein area) (soy: 24.2424).
3 dashes salt.
2 dashes garlic salt.
1/4 tsp. oregano.
2 dashes pepper.
1/2 tsp splenda (or 1/2 of 1 packet).
2 egg whites (40 calories).
1 tbsp. + 1/2 tsp. Promise Fat Free butter spread (or any other type of FF spread) 5 calories.
A little less than 1/4 tsp. baking soda.
1/8 tsp. active dry yeast.
1-2 tbsp. spaghetti sauce ~20 calories depending on type.
1 serving FF cheese (45).
1 serving turkey pepperoni 80 (protein serving optional).
Preheat oven to 350*.
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir well with a spoon, working the batter until all lumps are gone. (it should be liquidy) Let sit for a few minutes, about enough time to put away the ingredients, grab a non stick pan and spray with non stick cooking spray. (Doing this to let the yeast sit a bit). Pour the mixture in the center of the pan. Using the back of a spoon (and starting in the middle), spread the liquid around to even it out.
Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread 1/2 tsp. of FF butter spread over the top. Flip over and bake 5 minutes. Arrange toppings on the pizza, and sit in the oven (you can turn the oven off) for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pepperoni is crisp (if you like it that way!).
This is really yummy and very flavorful! If you want, use your salad vegetable for 1/4- 1/2 cup of cooked spinach before you put the cheese and pep. on. Yummo!!!.
This is a spinach and cheese pizza I made the other day, minus the oregano and garlic salt in the crust. I would probably add it next time though. It just counts as lunch + salad..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..

The pizza looks fantastic, but white flour? It's so against the glycemic part of the program because it's the bad carbs. Bunnie, how do you think your pizza would taste if I substitued whole wheat flour instead?..
Debbie, thanks for saying that I meant to put to sub the whole wheat flour if you are staying true to the low GI plan. I always forget that part!!!! Yes, sub sub sub!!! It shouldn't make too much of a difference. I think whole wheat flour actually adds it's own little taste. I have never tried it with oregano though, but I think it will be fine...
Pizza looks good. I wish I had select more of the pizza but I didn't, I got one free for the free week. I'll try customizing it similar to your receipt...
