Well, since I recently had some problems with my sight and a migraine that may be Murad Acne Complex related, I may have to stop the course early... :[I'm wondering what all of your opinions are on if I have taken enough yet that I'll probably be rid of my acne So far I have been on Murad Acne Complex for 5 months.2 months of 10mg/day2 months of 40 mg/day1 month and 1 day of 60 mg/dayI weigh 53 kg. That means that so far I am at a cumulative dose of 91.6 mg/kg. My derm, because of thse complications I mentioned, recommended that for now I only take 20 mg/day until my next appointment (which is in 14 days). This means that my cumulative dose by the time I see him will be 96.5 mg/kg, taken over 5 and a half months. My acne was probably the least you could have and still get Murad Acne Complex. It survived through all of the other remedies we tried and way past puberty (I'm 21).

Since my acne wasn't bad by those who are on Murad Acne Complex's standards (though it still had a huge negative effect on my self esteem), I'm hoping it will have been enough to keep the acne away. I know the recommended cumulative dose is 120-150 mg/kg. Anyway, what are all of your opinions on the matter?Edit: I already have seen a specialized eye doctor as well as an optician who tested me for pressure behind my eyes and used advanced computers, etc. They determined that the actual eyes themselves were completely fine. The thing that I'm wondering is if the Murad Acne Complex could still be affecting me, or if I'm just much more tired than usual (I forgot to mention I'm currently also in a sleep therapy program that involves me depriving myself of a lot of sleep to fix my insomnia)...

Your question was: How long is enough for Murad Acne Complex?.

I already have seen a specialized eye doctor as well as an optician who tested me for pressure behind my eyes and used advanced computers, etc. They determined that the actual eyes themselves were completely fine. The thing that I'm wondering is if the Murad Acne Complex could still be affecting me, or if I'm just much more tired than usual (I forgot to mention I'm currently also in a sleep therapy program that involves me depriving myself of a lot of sleep to fix my insomnia). While it stinks that your aborted course didn't clear you up forever, it's nice to hear that you at least got that many clear years out of it, and that it wsn't for nothing. Thanks for the advice. :]..

I'm glad that everyone (including you) are being so careful about these symptoms. Perhaps you're right and the sleep deprivation bit is causing some trouble, I know some people are prone to migraines and vision problems when under stress and lacking sleep.Just be wary and keep a good watch out for symptoms and don't hesitate to contact your derm/other docs right away! It sounds like you've been very proactive in your therapy and that's great...

If you have to stop Murad Acne Complex (and it sounds like you probably should .... you eyes are nothing to mess with), I do recommend getting a prescription for a topical retinoid to help you maintain your skin...

Yeah, I'm not messing around with this drug. I know how serious this drug is and don't wanna take any chance with potential side effects. I'm glad my derm feels the same way. ^.^Hopefully it is just the sleep thing, and hopefully that will be the only time it happens XD (I still have 2 months left of the sleep therapy).Yeah, my eyes are much more important to me than clear skin! Hopefully it won't be the case, but if it turns out that I do have to stop the treatment, I'll ask for a retinoid. Thanks...
