Question I have... How ill is Nutrisystem , (the person)? Hoping for any response. Another question on my mind: I set a new PR today running the La Jolla 5k in 22:44, not bad for a 46yo guy who weighed 240 last August! Considering I finished a 2 week cruise cruise 2 weeks ago today, I didn't have very high expectations. So the result is pretty surprising. I went out way too fast running the first mile in 6min even, it was mostly downhill. But then I paid for it as the final mile was mostly uphill, so I guess those two sections pretty much cancelled each other out.

All in all a great day and result.

If any of you guys are considering any sort of run/walk event I say go for it! Nutrisystem and loads of exercise are the keys to your new lives...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

Thanks, Bob, I finished 7th out of the 39 guys aged 45-49. My time would've been third among the 38 guys aged 40-44, so I guess we're getting better with age.....

Thanks guys! Gordon when's your next run? With the weight you've lost since your last run, plus all the exercise you've gotten, I'm guessing you'd break through the 30min barrier!..

May 8. I've been hitting 30 min in training runs lately. Barely. Crossfit has helped in that I'm no longer getting an injury every time I try to push it. This element of recovering fitness is tougher than any other for me. I guess age related.

I'm running with Kris "Horselady" from the Maintenance forum and she's a sub-25 min 5K'er..

Updating you guys on my latest result, I did a half marathon last Sunday. Ran a 2:02, I was really bummed I didn't break 2 hours, in fact still am.

The biggest bummer is that I feel I left a nearly 10 minutes on the road due to severe knee pains in the final 2 miles. Problems started at about mile 9, and then got really bad at mile 11. I was running steady 8:40s up to mile 11 which would have put me in at 1:53 or 1:54, oh well, maybe next time....

I'm still loving my new life, THANK YOU NS!!!!!!!!..

Amazing stuff! Nicely done all around..

I just started walking 4 months back and my two miles up and down hills takes me almost 25 minutes....guess I'll hold off on the 5k races for awhile yet.

Hey J - Don't be dicouraged by Radsdad here. He's a freak of nature! I've been trying to run for over a year now and I don't think I can even do ONE 8:40 mile, much less string.

My PR for a 5K is just under 30 min, which is basically 3 miles at just under a 10 min pace. Now THERE's a target you can shoot at! I've got a bullseye on my back. Go for it!.

Thanks guys! Considering I weighed 240 and couldn't run a single mile last summer, I should be more than satisfied. My successful weight loss via Nutrisystem has gotten my competitive juices flowing again. I didn't start running until I'd lost most of my weight and was nearing goal weight. We're all athletes under the extra lbs, you've just got to lose them and go for it...
