That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably can help you..
I think I'm going to try this!! Thanks for posting this recipe, it looks delicious!!..
Wow! you just keep on experimenting. Looks so yummy!..
Thanks, you guys! I'm very happy to share, so I can give back a little, since I've gotten so many good ideas from this board..
Yes, S'Fish, it is very filling. On the days I make baked eggs, I have to force myself to eat lunch, cuz I'm not hungry!..
Oh my baked eggs friend - this looks so good too..
I am going to have to copy this one down to be able to make this one next week. Thank you for sharing!..
Kat! Love the new pic, you look wonderful! Let me know how you like this version. I think it's my favorite...
Wow, have to agree with everyone, this looks yummy! I'm going to try this tomorrow morning. Thanks for posting this!.
Thanks, Annie! Let me know what you think of it...
So I made my version of it this morning. I dont have a round spring pan but I have little oval baking dishes (corningware) that I used. So my quiche was oval...but tasted really yummy. I used the scrambled eggs with the sausage crumble and I don't have any bacon or such in the house so I just used an extra "real" egg for the protein and also a slice of ff cheese. I didn't like how the cheese settled to the bottom, but it still tasted great. I sliced up a peach on the side.
I am soo glad you posted this recipe because I am so scared to try things. For me, the easier, the better. And if I don't have to use too many other ingredients, I'll give it a try..
Can't wait to start trying out more recipes...
I'm glad you liked the taste, thanks for the feedback!.
I did a couple variations,.
In this thread.
, initially. And the cheese chunks do float to the bottom. I haven't solved that yet, but someone in another thread suggested putting some vegies, maybe a few sliced mushrooms, on the bottom, and the cheese on top..
I was also thinking you could bake the eggs half way, then add the cheese, after they'd set a bit, then bake the rest of the way. I haven't tried that, yet...
Thanks, you guys! I had it again, this morning. Still yummy. The only thing I did different was put half the bacon on the bottom, followed by half the cheese, then some egg, then repeated the layers once more. The cheese was a little better distributed...
Thanks for this yum-a-licious recipe. I know what I'm having for breakfast in the morning!..
I tried eggs in microwave a couple of times and couldn't eat them. I plan to experiment on the stove by making an omellet..
I think they should have had us add a piece of toast or a tortilla with the eggs. The meal is low in carbohydrates without the bread and I find it hard to eat eggs with just fruit...
Making them in the skillet is okay, most people like that better than microwaved. I don't, especially. I like them microwaved. But then I learned to bake them. And that's my favorite, now..
It's all a matter of taste, which you'll soon learn on these boards varies wildly, from poster to poster. It's actually pretty funny. One meal will be violently loathed by a bunch of people, and a bunch of others will adore it. It's wacky...
I made it this morning and used shredded FF cheddar cheese and LOVED it. I found the cheese stayed evenly distributed this way and it was great. Plan to make this on a regular basis. I'm so happy when I get an easy recipe that help me stay on track. Thanks again for posting this marvelous little creation!.
Looks so good, I will try it this weekend. I've been dying for quiche.
I made this for breakfast this morning and used diced canadian bacon since I didn't have bacon in the house, and fat-free shredded mozzarella (which is like string cheese...). I was hoping that it would take care of the weird consistency of the Dukan Diet eggs, which I just don't like, but I'm afraid it didn't. I'll try it next time with eggbeaters instead, as I think this is a great way to make eggs!.
Thanks again for the recipe...
You're welcome. Sorry it didn't change the Dukan Diet eggs enuf for your liking, but if you just use the EggBeaters, I'm sure it will be more pleasing to you..
I don't mind the eggs, funnily enuf. I even like them nuked. So you can't go by me...
I had this this morning and all I can say is... yummmmmmmmmmmy!!!.
Since I used the Dukan Diet eggs with cheese I did't add any extra cheese but instead added some green peppers and onions and, of course, the bacon. I also like the eggs just nuked but this was really, really good... wish I had time every morning to do this...
Hey Julie, I hate the Dukan Diet eggs - but I've NEVER liked powdered eggs - one of those college killer meals.
I made this the other day with eggbeaters and it was perfect - no funny taste/aftertaste/consistency. I'm adding this to my "regular" menu. That way I'm not just having pancake or pancake type recipes every day..
I've tried it with "plain" eggbeaters and "garden vegetable" eggbeaters - and both times I've loved it - when cooked I add fresh salsa (10 cal in 2 tbsp) and it's so filling I love it...
I made this this morning and really enjoyed it! Thanks for the recipe, FatKitty55!..
Thanks Kat, I'll try it with eggbeaters next time, and with bacon rather than canadian bacon - I saw real bacon pieces in the store the other day and thought that a tablespoon or two of that might work well..
Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed..
You know, I think you can make them ahead, then just nuke them in the morning. I haven't tried that yet, but I'm sure it would be fine..especially since you and I like the nuked ones, anyway..
I'm glad you liked it, Kat! I'm nominating you my official EggBeaters tester on my powdered egg recipes. LOL.
You're welcome, Kaykay, I'm happy you enjoyed it...
I tried this today except I made it in a bigger pan since I didn't have a 4 inch spring form one and used 2 tablespoons of fat free shredded mozzarella cheese instead of the string cheese. It was really good. Thanks...
