Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..
I'm fighting the random cravings also. What I do is grab a bottle of water and a handful of sliced cucumbers I keep on hand in the fridge and try to find something to do to help take my mind off the craving. Sometimes just a 5 -10 minute walk is a helpfull diversion...
Listen guys, you just have to suck it up! This is but a moment in your life!..
You're quite right! So far, just starting week 4, I haven't caved yet and do not plan to. It is so much more satisfying to stay on plan than to stray off in a moment of weakness. I look at the cravings this way it's just all in my head and I'm not really hungry and have no real need of MORE food, The constant eating of more food is what got me so fat to begin with. So I just have to begin to train myself into a new way of thinking about food...
You ever watch that show "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern"?.
I was watching it last week thinking that stuff looked good..
Gimme some! ! !..
What's your height-weight and bodyfat percentage? Maybe putting that out in public, will make you less likely to worry about food taste wants?.
If you have big salads and veggies, you can fit in some meat. Try to keep it lean and reasonable and make sure you eat the rabbit food to fill up. Don't "fill" with calorie dense steaks that are half fat anyhow..
Some beef cuts are more than 75% fat calories. Imagine how much more nutritionally efficient (and filling) an eggwhite scramble is, filled with low-cal veggies Bellavita style..
You'll be able to add a bit more fatty meat in at maintenance. But you still need to use common sense..
Seriously...try big salads. It won't taste as good as a steak. But when you're full, the craving will be less. It just will. The real danger is being hungry and then binging on high calorie density food...
Can't really help ya here. In all honesty, I not only never had any real cravings, but after almost 6 weeks post-NS I still don't..
I eat a ton of the 'right' stuff and am just not hungry. I drink the water like it's a religious observation of some kind.
Push past the cravings would be my suggestionbut I can't really connect with this question..
Didn't have any..
I love that show! Some of the isht he eats......
OK, I know I'm not supposed to post here, but....
Why can't you guys have meat? I buy packages of precooked chicken strips or fajita steak strips and these can be used as a protein serving. Yeah, best to weigh the portions, but you can still eat meat every single day if you want..
I just went to Sams and bought a big bag of steak strips. Add mushrooms(free food), fry a few ounces up and voila!.
Just checked the bags:.
Chicken strips (71g) 1/2 cup 90 calories 16g protein.
Steak strips (85g) 3 oz 120 calories 19g protein..
