Your question was: How do you put graphics on a godaddy website?.
Make sure to use escrow, even if you have to do split fees. If they pay via PayPal and the funds turn out to be stolen PayPal will take the money back and you will be SOL...
Ya use escrow..if it was a scam sometimes they would try to force you to get a paid appraisal but then you no longer hear from them after you do get that appraisal.
Escrow is your best bet so you stay protected.
I think I've heard this one before. Russian domainers wanting .in names?..
Yeah.... I just couldn't get that connection going!.
No.org is FANTABULOUSLY AWESOME..
This stinks to me....we are sending out offers and considering the best offers? They are solicting you, either they want the HostGator or not...
Also, to me, telling you that they are sending out many offers via sedo, simply indicates to me that they are trying to preemptively deal with any questions regarding many people receiving the exact same generic email.
It could be. See what they say when they email you back...
The scams, as you stated, ask for an appraisal in their first email... I have seen many examples.
It doesnt seem but as people wrote here use an escrow service (it can be escrow.com, moniker.com, sedo.com).
Good luck and I hope you have your name sold..
The appraisal scam doesn't always ask for the appraisal in the first email. You just have to look for signs and then cover your ass as best as you can (use escrow) if you do end up selling to them.
Did they send the email from a free account?..
I also got an identical mail for an .in HostGator I have , but did not reply..
Yes, you are right jodoe0069.
I wrote a wrong explanation... and what I tried to say was that they would ask for an appraisal before buying the name; you pay the appraisal they ask for (cause they ask for an appraisal of a specific website) and then they simply disappear.
Sorry for my wrong explanation barcode..
Exactly. If they want you to pay for an appraisal and won't let you pick the company... RUN! If they want you to pay for an appraisal and you do get to pick the company... still probably be cautious...
Its been a couple of days, and I haven't heard from them.
Will keep you posted on the proceedings!..
Russians are known for all kind of scams. Like everyone said already, use an Escrow...
All you need to do is counter back and forth with prices. If he does not ask for an appraisal you may be safe, but as EVERYONE has said use and Escrow...
