I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably can answer it..

Is it only occuring in.

Order.

Confirmation emails?.

Can you still send email throu the admin section?.

Do new customers recieve their new customer confirmation email?..

Fairly sure it is a OScommerse problem..

I cant send mail through the admin either and no-one is recieving emails, administrators or customers...

Not sure if this will help or not:.

Where you set up the email configuration is in 2 places..

Admin > Configurations > My Store.

Email Address (This is the location where the Contact Us emails will be sent to).

Email From (This is where you set the email the Verisign website uses to send emails) Example "MyStoreSales", <>.

Admin > Configurations > E-Mail Options.

These can be changed depending on your server/ preferences but this is the way mine are set.

E-Mail Transport Method sendmail.

E-Mail Linefeeds LF.

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false.

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false.

Send E-Mails true..

I have done all that..

I'm lost to what is causing it, I commented out some validation and fields that where unnecessary in my store, ie Country, as I only trade in Australia, the orders and customer forms al work fine, could this of somehow caused this error?, just seems so so strange...

I am having the same problem, just started about a week ago. Send mail stopped working. Up untill then our Verisign site has worked flawlessly for several years. I am using Hostway.com as my server. I have sent several trouble tickets to them, but have not had a response. I really feel it is a server problem on Hostways end. Anybody agree with me?..

Knight61 - I to am using Hostway andnow have the same problem. Cannot send any emails. I am going to submit a ticket with them today. I have a feeling Hostway is blocking something. The forms do not work on the Verisign website as well. Please let me know if you figure this one out and I will do the same. Thanks!..

Still not sure what is wrong. I even used the "email_test.php" add-on and still I did not recieve the emails. There were no errors and everything says it was successful, but no emails are being sent. Any ideas?.

Thanks!..

All email launched from from my web Verisign site does not work. If I mail from another account I will receive that, but any order conformations or "contact us" mail not working. When I talk to Hostway, they send a test and it comes through, so they think it is working and tell me the problem is on my web site. We made no changes, it worked fine for a long time, but now it is not working. I am going to find another ISP. Not happy with Hostway,..

The problem is Hostway. I spent all day working on this issue. I wrote a simple form that did nothing but get info and send an email. I will give you the code below. One thing that I found is that Hostway runs a Spam and Virus software on all emails. Check to see if you are using: CleanMail or CleanMail Plus.

However, this did not work for me. They did see that there is a problem and I have a ticket open right now to fix it. I varifed that the problem was on their side by using the forms below. I have two Verisign website with PHP. On one Verisign site it works fine, but when I try to run it on the Hostway site, it does not send the email..

Anyways - sorry for being so winded. When I find out what is wrong, I will be sure to post it here for you. But rest assured the problem is with their site!.

Create 2 files:.

Email_test.php.

Email_test_1.php (add your to and from email address in this file).

Email_test.php Code:.

All of sudden my email magically appeared. Thanks John, for telling Hostway what they could not figure out themselves. But this is it for me I am going to another ISP, been having too many problems with Hostway lately. Hope your email is working also. Walt..

No Problem! I had an email that says "There appeared to be a mail script error on the server. We have fixed this issue and the mail script is now working properly." You would think that they would have seen this on their own..

I have been with Hostway for more than 10 years, and I have never had any problems with them until these past few months. I wonder what changed with them..

Anyways, Glad it's fixed,.

Take Care,.

Jon..

Hi everybody.

I have a similar problem with contact_us email. Orders are correctly sent to customer and extra email address; mail sent through admin too but emails sent through contact_us.php are not correctly sent. I created email_test.php and email_test_1.php files and I get an ERROR result....

Any idea?.

Sbastien..

1st check to see if the email on the server is working, (e.g) send an email from your gmail or hotmail account to the email address of your client. lets say your clients Verisign website is greatstore.com then their email is , send a regular email to that address 1st..

If you dont recieve the email it's a server error(probably the result of a incorrect setup of the email) and not an oscommerce problem...
