I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can help you..
I use to donate, but the past two times, I have felt very weak for two days after, so I will wait until and am taking in a higher calorie range....Hope it all goes well for you!..
The biggest thing is taking in plenty of fluids before and afterwards. I have phlebotomies, but they discard the blood(hemochromatosis). I would listen to your body. Don't worry about a little extra calories if you're feeling woozy..
It is wonderful that you're doing this!..
I donate as often as I can (especially now that I'm over a year clear of my cancer). I eat as normal the day before and after the donation I drink water instead of the other stuff they offer and often times bring my afternoon snack with me to eat after donating instead of the cookies that they usually offer...
Thanks for the ideas everyone. I got really light headed and nauseous when I donated this time. That has never happened to me before. They had me lie down and drink extra fluids. I had a small cranberry juice (100 cal) and half a bag of pretzels (90 cal). I think it was worth the extra calories! I'll try to donate again in 8 weeks!..
I'm glad you recovered with just a few extra calories. Definitely worth it. THANKS so much for donating... A blood donor saved my life 8 years ago!..
Does that count as a weight loss if done before weigh in? Ha ha..
Hmmm ... I donated several times before NS. I have an appointment set up for April to donate again. Never thought being onNutrisystemwould have a difference, but I always feel just fine afterwards...
