Your question was: How do I upload stuff onto my hosting account for godaddy.com?.

They went through the pioneer HostGator program, go figure. The sad part is that the pioneer program basically handed out tons of nice generics already.

Ok, I shouldn't complain, I got mine assigned already as well...

What is asian ... for "Asia" ?!?.

-Jeff..

Oooh, care to share what name you chose? The initial investment is huge..

NOTE: All .ASIA registrations must include at least one contact who resides in one of the .ASIA countries.*.

Lets say I want to preregister one .. what am I supposed to do ? Don't you need a contact in asia ?

Yes, you need an Asian contact, e.g. an individual with an Asian address and an Asian passport number or a company registered in Asia...

It will be as big a con disaster as .eu - if not bigger. And even more worthless.

I voted for Con.asia..

Yea, but these cannot be sold in future. Two letters aren't allowed...

If they actually made the regulations stricter. Only then will .asia truly for asians...

Yes, temp just for asian. Because need asia at least one contact no..

Except you have friends at asia...

Or make it compulsory to have all Asian contacts...

I hope that open for public register. If not same with .US history?.

Not sure now? Asian have 1/3 population world.

Check lastest news: http://www.dotasia.org/..

If it's opened to all, wouldn't that pretty much defeats the purpose of .asia. IMHO, unfortunate but true, .asia will probably end up like .eu. Cashcow for the registry and nothing more...

I don't think .eu handled their launch very professionally, imho. At least with .asia, if they get more than 1 application, it goes to auction. So the registrar gets the profits, not the domainers.

I'm a bit disappointed with the rate of registrations. 15,000 is a really small number. But it does leave a lot of domains for us minnows to pick up.

I think for asian companies doing business globally, .asia is going to be better than their contry level cctld, but inferior to .com (as everything is)...
