Got a question... How do I sign up for Nutrisystem? Thanks for any comment. Second question.. On the mens diabetic plan.

2 veggies at lunch.

3 veggies at dinner.

At lunch and at dinner I basically just pop in one of those 5 min birdseye steam veggies. I stick with green beans - broccoli - basically the low cal ones..

Each bag in total is about 100 cal or so..

Am I eating TO much veggies? I know you guys know what bags I am talking about..

I never do the ones in sauce or corn and the like...

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

I doubt you're hurting it to much with Veggies, but like Gellar says measuring never hurts...

A veggie serving should be approximately 25 cals, so if your plan says 5 a day, one steamfresh bag should do it..

To elaborate, the vitamin A, folic acid and lactucarium found in lettuce induce fat burning by speeding up your metabolism as well as aiding in sleep.*.

*Disclaimer - with the exception of vitamin A, folic acid and lactucarium, I pulled this information out of my a$$ so no one overanalyze it!..

Those steamer bags have more calories than just plain veggies. I'm a chemist and I can't tell you why, BUT THEY DO! A half a bag should do! Gellar, as far as the Vitamin A, Folic Acid.etc Too Funny! Now that's Poly!..

Eat huge salads and don't cheat..

Get fresh veggies and nuke them. just put them in a bowel with a lid, put about a 1/4 inch of water at the bottom and presh start..

There now eat all that you want with ICBINB.

You'll save mula too..

And you can buy fresh and freeze them yourself. you know, the only veggie you can't freeze is lettuce (u never see frozen lettuce's, right?)..

Yeah, salads. Joy. Squee. Whatever the kids are saying nowadays..

Rabbit food! :P.

But like the others said, just make sure you're eating the right quantities, some veggies are unlimited, some aren't. Measure to a certain extent, but don't be too worried about it. I drank a whole bottle of v8 today and don't feel guilty about it. Lemme rephrase, a whole 12oz bottle of v8...

A couple of edifications. First, no one ate salads before Poly came around and invented them. So please refer to them by their proper name "Poly Salads". Second, no description of a Poly Salad is complete without the adjectives "HUGE" and "GINORMOUS". Third, move your dinner salad to be with dessert. Yeah, don't we all want to be eating lettuce and other vegetables with our chocolate cake? (another Poly-ism is to eschew sweet snacks and go for the salty.) Apparently if sweet snacks causes cravings in Poly, then it does for the rest of the world too).

Gullet being the last point. You can't talk about Poly w/o mentioning shoving food down your gullet..

LOL. Poly was never that scientific about salads. His sleep remedy was a warm bath (complete with Mr. Bubbles and his rubber ducky!). Feel free to have at that!..
