My first question is: How do I post a under construction graphic on my new web site being hosted by GoDaddy?.

My next question is: Personally I have sold plenty through TDNAM, and extremely rarely through Afternic. My names seem to get looked at in Afternic though, but few offers.

Anyone else finding it much easier to sell at TDNAM than Afternic, or should I continue to put energy into Afternic too?.

Thanks!!.

Rep to any thoughtful replies!!..

Your question was: How do I post a under construction graphic on my new web site being hosted by GoDaddy?.

I get mid-range pricing, fair reseller prices. Mid-xx through xxx. Nothing in the xxxx range yet, and I haven't even tried to flip the weaker ones for $10-$20, but I know that's been a sucessful strategy for many...

HI, this is my first post. I have just moved my portfolio to afternic from sedo., so I hope I havnt made a mistake. I moved because I found a problem with sedos selection assessment for their top HostGator category which they were rather complacent about...

Welcome! IMO, Sedo is still the best for higher level sales. It seems they are able to attract these buyers and get their trust in their process. Unfortunately, it seems that in order to attract the big sales they make it a little harder than other sites do to place a bid.

So, if you have some that legit could make high xxx or better, I'd still list them at Sedo. Others, it's really a matter of preference...

I'm with Afternic but won't be much longer - it cost $20 and I won't be renewing it - not a single expression of any interest whatsover in almost a year - Sedo is just the same but at least it's free..

I sell at Sedo, and buy at Afternic and TDNAM. I think it depends on the quality of the name that leads to your success at Afternic and TDNAM...

Average $xxxx each a month on tdnam and sedo. Afternic $0. I've heard it's because of my crappy names, apparently there must be crappy name buyers only at those two and not Afternic. I'll stick with my crappy selling names and not be too concerned with Afternic...

Higher quality names and short names at Afternic, and junk/firesale/mini-site domains at TDNAM. I've never spent more than $70 on a name at TDNAM, whereas the amount for Afternic breaks into four figures...

Afternic has many inflated prices. TDNAM has a lot of junk, but if you can sift through it, you might find the occasional gem...

Those with crap names always seem to blame the platform..

And many high value names just happen to sell at Sedo simply b/c they were parked there..

Or do people think non-domainers land on sedo's site, use their horrible search and just happen to find what they want.....

Agree 100 % much better experience at Afternic than on Sedo. Again IMO..

No sale for me atm. I don't blame them but it's another opportunity for me...

Last year, I was doing 5-10 times the sales on Afternic than Sedo. Although still only a few domains. But my Afternic inquiries have dropped to virtually zero, this year. My Sedo sales have picked up a tad. I have never had any success selling at TDNAM. I feel you get lost in the crowd.

@jackal1 and the other successful TDNAM sellers - What strategies do you use to be a successful TDNAM seller?..

I have made some sales via Afternic in years past. NameMedia are good people as well, Imo.

I have never done business with Sedo, as far as selling names...

Afternic, lots of views, no sales, not impressed... will not be renewing my membership...

Sedo, have made some serious XXXX sales this year, like the ease of the site.

TDNAM use it only as a buyer..

BIG mistake imho! sedo is way better than afternic in my experience.

Problem is the supply is huge on these sites and too many for people to choose from. sedo alone boasts 11.5 million domains. I am amazed I have sold more on there than Afternic which charges. They lost me and no doubt alot more users with the fees...
