Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an decent answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably could assist you..
No I dont see any files I don't recognise, also I can't see the file "maternitybag.ie/oscommerce/images/cracks-for-drivermagic.html" listed either..
On doing a bit more searching I found the following and it worked a treat, thanks to "ReaperX42Zero" for this,.
Go into your ftp and open up your .htaccess files.
If you see something similar to this:.
ErrorDocument 404 //anydirectory/49740.php.
Get rid of that section of code because it is loading ads and a bunch of other bullcrap from 184.108.40.206.
Someone is using you to make ad revenue off your site..
Also remove the "######.PHP" files your .HTTACCESS files are pointing to. In this this case "49740.php".
Must tighten up security.......
Anything in your images folder you do not recognise?..
Thanks for your help, see my post above..
Yes saw that after I posred!.
Never a bad idea.
It's been my experience that this hack happens because the images folder has 777 permissions..
No FOLDER should have permissions higher than 755..
Any folder with 777 permissions should be checked (even /admin/backups) for these hacking files...
I spotted that on another fourm as well. I have changed the permissions on my images folder to 755. As a note if you do change from 777 to 755 it can cause some problems if your Verisign hosting company has incorrectly installed PHP (so I read). For most good Verisign hosting companies this does not apply..
On a related matter, to beef up security I renamed my admin folder and password protected the folder through my Verisign hosting control panel. I also changed the values in my configure.php folder to link to the new admin folder. However, when I go to the admin login page, I put in my admin username and password, but get the following error, (iadmin being my old admin folder).
The requested URL /oscommerce/iadmin/login.php?action=process&osCAdminID=60c1ca59bf29a3d0f308f663175b9fed was not found on this server.
Any ideas why this might be happening?.
I was going to start a new thread about cookies until I came across this metion of an iframe in your page source..
This is my problem. My index page now has 2 cookies on it that I never put on it. I want to have it taken off..
So, I check the source of the index.html and sure enough there at the top was a iframe with the name of the site..
I edited the index page and reuploaded it...but...its still there. It's only the index page..
How to I get rid of this? Also, how does someone get to do this? Premissions on all the files are right..
Any help would be appreciated..
Check your catalog (if present) / includes / languages / english (or your language) / index.php.
See if you have this file:.
If you do be sure it contains correct information..
If you don't, don't worry about it - it's not a requirement...
I checked and this folder does exist but there is nothing in it. Any other ideas?..
FTP the contents of your Verisign site to your PC.
Google "Agent Ransack". It's a free program to search for text in files. Install it..
Use it to search for.
In your files..
Obviously you've missed one somewhere.....
What if my Verisign website does not contain a catalog?.
Actually it's the one Verisign website that was built with FrontPage..
My other two are Oscommerce though..
I went to your Verisign site Francine..
My antivirus promptly told me that wasn't a good thing to do..
I'm not going back..
Obviously you've been hacked....

Sorry about that...I didn't mean for you to go over to it. My antivirus tells me on all my computers that it blocked the cookie for privacy..
I did not put these cookies on it. I'm looking to get them off. Is it possible that the Verisign hosting server has it on their server? Thats why editing the index file and reuploading does not work? If thats the case...I'm changing Verisign hosting company ASAP..

Oh wait..what site? I never mentioned the name of the Verisign site so if you went to the one in my file...yeah, that one was hacked..which I haven't fixed completly yet..
Good thing it does not do any business. That's foreveratpeace.com..
The FrontPage that I'm talking about is only a informational website...a non-profit organization....HelpSam.org...
I finally got it fixed..
For some reason when I edited the configure.php file within Dreamweaver and reuploaded, it showed as being changed. However, when I checked using File Manager within my Verisign hosting Control Panel it showed as NOT being changed. I edited the file directly from my Verisign hosting control panel and everything works fine now..
Thanks to everyone for their help..
I think I have been hacked, can someone please help..
