Got a quick question: How do I get my mom to take me to Nutrisystem? Hoping for any answer. Another question... Hi all pretty new to Nutrisystem still. I like most breakfast and dinners but having a really tough time with lunches. Either I am not cooking them throughly or the are just awful. Today I was trying to eat pasta parm.

I have had no luck with rice base or pasta base stuff in cardboard containers. I do like the tomatoe corn chowder and pastas that you cook in microwave..

Any ideas would help. I start every morning off great but end up hating lunches and try and sub with salad so by dinner I am starving and eating junk...

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..

For the add-water entrees - use boiling water (or as hot as you can get) and let it sit about 2x as long as the directions say I usually let it sit quite a while stir before you add water (to break up the clumps of sauce) and really well when you add the water... you can also prep earlier in the day (or the night before) and reheat at lunch-time see my Lunch files for some ideas for stuff you can do with them lynn..

Maybe you are not letting the water get hot enough and then letting it sit when you do. I usually just put stuff in a bowl, add the water using the soup cup it came in and put it in the microwave until it is boiling. Then I cover it really good and let it sit a little longer than directions. They get really soft and good. Try that and see what happens..

Hi,.

Have you tried the chicken salad or the thousand island and chicken breast meat that you pour over a salad? Those are actually very good. I think the cheese tortellini is pretty good too. I had the black beans and rice today and I let it sit for about 10 minutes and it was not too bad...

I have learned with the foods in the cup containers the water needs to be boiling hot and make sure the covers stays on for more than recommended amount of time. I sometimes lay a spoon or fork across the top of container to keep the cover closed and so the heat does not escape..

I make them in the morning. I stir really well. Then add really boiling water. And stir. Put a plate on top and let sit much longer than the time says. Then stire again.

Stir again. Then pour into a tupperware container to take to work...

I've heard this problem but have never had it myself. I stir up the contents first, loosening any clumped powder, I add BOILING water, I stir thoroughly to mix it well, and I put a plate or bowl on top to seal in the steam and let sit for the full 10 minutes. it's perfect everytime...

I had that problem at first too, particularly with the ones that have pasta. I too found if I use REALLY hot water, stir good, put the lid back on (and if it won't stay I put my spoon on top to keep it there), and then let it sit at LEAST 10 minutes! In fact, one day I got a phone call & it sat almost 20 and it was fab! (I just had to add a teeny bit more hot water to warm it up)...
