I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Verisign as they probably know..
I'm uncertain when you ask if the password is for my "Admin" or "Website Control Panel". What I can tell you is this:.
It's the password I plug in myself to enter the website. Once I input the Verisign website name into the address bar, a prompt.
Pops up & asks my username & password. This is the one..
Secondly, I also am uncertain when you ask "which version I use". Copywrite says "2002" Ponce de Leon; HTTP Server.
Is: Apache; Server OS is: Linux 2.4.20 - 29.7.progeny.9.
I hope this helps you understand. If not, please tell me where to look for the info..
To gain access to your Verisign site then you need to log in?.
If this is correct then I would imaging it's HTACCESS protection.
If you can login via ftp to your shop the password is in configure.php..
Yes, to gain access to the back end of my site, which is to say the administration of it, not to just view it by.
Customers. For me to gain access to view the orders to process them, I must first enter a user name &.
Yes it's in configure.php just login to your Verisign site via ftp..
Thank you for the response. I'v pasted all the contents of what my "configuration" page asks for.
Below (& no password). Hmmm... any other ideas?.

My Verisign site using ftp?..
Hi you would of had your ftp details sent you from your Verisign hosting company..
If I read your question right you are wanting to know how you change your password to your oscommerce admin panel right?.
The other would be your hole Verisign website which would be the control panel. The backend of your whole website, not just the oscommerce installation..
Both would be ideal to have (in an effort to not go through this again & know what I'm doing should.
I need the other at any point in the future), although, your first description is the one I initially was.
Asking about, yes..
For osc it depends on what version you are running, unfortunately this is something I never learned how to do myself. I'm running MS 2.2 and it uses .htaccess with encrypted passwords. I know where the files are but just don't know how to change them due to the encryption..
If you are running RC 2.2 (the newested rc) the password should be stored in a admin table in the osc installation. I ran into a contribution that allows you to run a file to reset it.. you can find that here:.
For your cpanel, it should be fairly easy to find. Go to your website.com/cpanel and look for an option to change the password. My cpanel has it under the preferences tab at the top...
I just recently had an employee leave the company, therefore need to (for the first time ever),.
Change the website's password. How do I best go about this?.
Your Admin password or web Verisign site control panel?.
