Got a quick question: How could the lack of iodide in the Dukan Diet be classified as a vitamin deficiency? Thanks for any comment. Another quick question... I was in the mood for some French Onion soup today so I thought of this:.

Preheat oven to BROIL..

1 Dukan Diet Minestrone soup - prepared with boiling water as directed..

1 TB dried chopped onion, or 1/8 cup fresh finely diced onion.

1 slice reduced fat cheese (I used low fat provolone, 60 cal, 4g fat, 8g protein).

Cooking spray.

Once soup is rehydrated, add a little more water as most will have absorbed (to about 1/2 inch of top of container). Mix in the dried or fresh onion. Pour soup into a small ramekin, and briefly spray the edges of the ramekin at the top of the soup..

Arrange the cheese slice (may have to tear apart) to fit on the top..

Broil in oven for 5-10 minutes (my oven is weak so I did 10 minutes - check your oven accordingly)..

SORRY THE PIC IS BLURRY. This counts as a lunch entree + dairy/protein. Just add a salad...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably can help you..

Wow, great idea! probably would also work well with a beef vegetable stew, a cup of ff beef broth and the onions. Great idea with the provolone!..

Yes it would but I don't order those, lol...

I am not a big fan either (beside, in the dead of winter), but I got some via super-sales from NS..

Wow, that's looks soooooooo good! You have got another winner here! Have to go out and get some provolone. Do you think it would be ok with ff mozzerella?.
