First question I got is How can I supress my appetite without the use of unhealthy Dukan Diet pills? Many thanks for any response. My other question... So, I never post recipies, but this one was really delicious. (Please feel free to comment if you feel I made any mistakes in stats.).

Last night I made baked stuffed shrimp for dinner instead of a Dukan Diet entree..

I wish I took a picture, but I devoured it way too quickly!.

Baked Stuffed Shrimp.

4 oz shrimp: I used a bag of frozen- according to package, this was 14 shrimp- (counts as dinner entree protein).

2oz crabmeat, chopped up (rest of dinner protein).

1/2 cup chopped onion.

1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley.

1 tblsp minced garlic.

1 tblsp ff sour cream or ff free mayo (free food).

1 1/2 tblsp of egg beaters (I didn't count this).

1 1/2 slices of wheat bread, toasted and ground up into breadcrumbs (dinner entree carb).

3 tblsp lemon.

1 tblsp hot sauce.

1 tsp worstershire sauce.

2 tsp ff parmesan cheese (free food).

Salt, pepper, ICBINB spray.

Preheat oven to 400. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray. Peel, devein, and butterfly shrimp (slightly slice the back of the shrimp, so it stands,.

But not all the way through.

). In large skillet, sautee onions and garlic until onions are translucent. Let cool. In a lg bowl, add onions to crabmeat. Add sour cream or mayo, egg beaters, lemon, wostershire sauce and hot sauce. Stir gently.

Mound crabmeat mixture into shrimp. Press gently to close and place stuffed side up in pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp of parm cheese, spray tops with ICBINB spray, and squeeze on extra lemon if desired. Bake for 20 minutes, and then broil for 5 minutes so tops are brown and crunchy..

This counts as a dinner entree. Add your salad and veggies to complete meal. Note: This recipe uses more than 1 free food at a time. I am mindful of this, but it should be considered if choosing to use them...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you an answer..

Looks good but....

2 tablespoons (your "tblsp") of parmesan cheese is most definately NOT a free food 2 teaspoons would be though either you've got a typo or another dairy/protein there.

And ummm I think for the amount of result are you sure you mean.

Tablespoons.

For the lemon, hot sauce & worcestershire???? I'd think that much liquid in addition to being really overpowering would make your recipe rather soupy totals over 1/4 cup.

How much do you use when you say "1 serving crabmeat"?? is that 2 oz???.

Also - if you check the grocery additions listing 2 oz shellfish (shrimp, crab, etc) is 1 protein serving - so, you only have 3 protein servings (assuming the 2 oz crab) and unless you meant the parmesan to be 2 tbsp, I'm not seeing an extra dairy/protein in the fish....

And remember when using several free foods in a single meal to watch what you've used earlier in the day they do add up.

Lynn..

Thank you for your comments, Lynn. I most definitly meant tsp of parm cheese. I'l fix that! and it's ff parm cheese that I used. As for the liquids, yes, I used that much, and it wasn't soupy at all. Probably because the bread and crabmeat seemed to soak it up. It may have been 1tsp of worc.

I guess I did cut myself short on the protein portion. So, the 4oz of shrimp and and the crabmeat would have been the required servings without saving an afternoon protein..

I know you have to watch the free foods. I just figured I didn't usee too much, and I rarely mix them together, that this was alright. But, I understand your comments for those reading who are newer to the program..

Thanks for your advice. I'll make the changes...

Amanda,.

This sounds wonderful, and I am definitely a shrimp lover! Thank you for this recipe! Debboe..

Good I can see how the liquids would be ok with the stuffing mixture, it was really the tbsp of Worcestershire sauce that caught my eye and had me do a double take - since for me, that stuff could easily overpower in quantity and it would be unfortunate if the amount was a typo....

As to the free foods - I don't think you used too many, it's just that we all (me included) forget that there are calories in all the condiments we use and they do add up I don't have "treat" type free foods for that very reason (gotta be able to doctor my dinners - lmao).....

This sounds great Amanda! It's different with the "free foods" when you're doing a recipe though. Normally when you talk free foods it's because you're making an Dukan Diet entree into something else. In this case you should look at the dish as a whole, not in it's parts per say. Dukan Diet adds in things to make an entree. By this I mean they don't just hand you a plate with shrimp on it and call it a meal, they add things to it to make an entree. You just have to look at it as a whole, not it's parts.

I don't know the stats for this recipe so I can't comment on that, but it sure does sound good!!..

Thanks Lynn and Christina! I rely on people like you two to help keep me in check. Especially since I will be eating some of my own foods on maintenance, I count on all your wise advice to help me. It was a delicious meal, but of course, it's just one of those every now and then kinds of dishes. I don't plan on eating "stuffed" things very much anymore!.

By the way Christina, love your new avatar!! I think I'm going to let my hair grow long again!!..
