Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you an answer..
Good idea, I will look there too... I liked the one at the gym, need to go and see what it was..think it was a precor..
We researched alot and it was down to one at Sears cause they will fix them, or Life Fitness. Found a place that sells L.Fitness and it is a far better machine. Good warranty and will last a long time. We both use it about 45 min a day and it is quiet, easy to use, lots of programs, etc. Had it 6 mo. Recommend it- they have several kinds.
Thanks for the recomendation, which model did you get?..
Also what store did you find that carried them, I am not going to buy one I haven't tried!..
I have a high-end NordicTrack model (you can tryout at Sears, who carries them). Overall it was a good machine and I liked it a lot. It is very sturdy, and was a good fit for me, being short an issue. I used it everyday for quite a while before I hurt my back, and we got a lot of use out of it. I would highly recommend the extended warrenty, as we had problems with the wheels cracking and breaking at least once a year. Plus our flywheel had to be replaced at least once, among some other issues.
I quit the gym and worked out at home, and it was wonderful to have the freedom to workout whenever...
It is an "X1"..
Bought it at a place that specializes in selling exercise equipment- it ws not a sporting goods store, or mall type store (Sears, etc).
We happened across it driving by one day..
Checked and they have been around a long time and good warranty..
So many of the others may have warranties but no local place to fix them..
There are tons of reviews of exercise equipment on the internet- might do some searching..
I figure they have to be pretty good at a gym that is used all day with some very heavy and some very athletic people. So those kinds should be good. But I sure would check some reviews on them. It is not a cheap investment!..
I was checking out the X1 with the advanced console, I want to find that one in a store and try it out, my DH found a place near us that is suppose to sell them so we will have to go check them out. I liked the Precor ones they had at the gym, if I don't like the Life Fitness ones I think I will get the precor, since I have used them I feel I can order one if need be and not worry I won't like it. The X1 is a little cheaper so I am hoping I like that one!..
I am leaning towards the Life Fitness and Precor but thanks for the info!..
I don't own my own, but I would consider looking for a used model on Craigslist for one of the gym quality brands like Precor or Life Fitness...
