A couple of handy things I've come across in my first week are. (medifast "Things I wish I knew when I started" thread). (.pdf file of vegetable cup to gram conversion file). (Post in "The Clubhouse" section with other October starters, come join in!).
Nice to hear that you know two people who have been successful with Medifast in the past and I'm sure they will be a nice crutch to lean on when you have questions!..

Many of us have tried WW in the past...it's a great program, but doesn't work for everyone!.

I too tried WW in the past. It works for me (slowly), but I always manage to put the weight back on. I think it's the whole "You can eat ANYTHING as long as you stay on-points" mentality that ruins it for me.
With Medifast I'm learning a whole new lifestyle, and Medifast will train me to transition make into a normal yet healthy eating mode. I've been OP for 7 weeks now, and I'm loving it!..
Welcome, this is a program that really works, just do the program! I liked the food right away but some don't, everyone says same thing, give it a chance and a week or 2 until you cleanse yourself of sugar and fat and the food will taste great. Lots of recipes, brownie muffins are great.The best part of Medifast is the transition and maintenance plan they provide, it works and teaches you what you can eat to be successful Search and study the boards, great info and people here! You will do great!..

Welcome! This site was a LIFESAVER for me when I was in weight loss phase. THere are so many great people here and alot I can now call friends.
I know for me, I could NOT have done it without these boards. So, suck up all the support and knowledge here..
My most important tip to you is: follow the plan, keep it simple, drink ALL the water you can-its vital for weight loss, WEIGH for L&G, write down all your food each day in a journal, and get involved here..
