Your question was: Got a GoDaddy discount code for 2011?.
You're totally right. I agree 100% with you. I don't think I explained myself too well... Let me rephrase my question: Are there any appraisal sites that come closest to realistic pricing based on backlinks, frequency, input text, etc.?..
This the "Domain Appraisals" Section..
Not the Appraisal Website Review Section...
I mean that's common sense. What I'm trying to get at is if sites like 'estibot' are any accurate? That's all..
I've found Estibot's primary strength to be single word and short .com HostGator names. I would discount appraisals from anyone other than experienced domainers as I haven't found them very accurate under most circumstances.
I have a large amount of experience in the 4 letter market and I'm often surprised how closely Estibot appraises 4 letter .coms to what I would appraise them at. It is automated, it isn't perfect, but Estibot does do a better job at appraising 4 letter .coms than most people here.
I would always recommend just asking here at Namepros most often you'll have a response from a highly qualified domainer within 24 hours which will supersede anything Estibot could quantify, but nevertheless it is a good tool to use in addition to common sense of course.
Estibot's creator once described Estibot as a good way to "ballpark" a domain's value and I believe it does a reasonably good job at doing that. Estibot might not be able to tell you if your name is worth $10.000 or $100.000, but in most cases Estibot won't appraise an $XX,XXX+ name for less than would motivate you to seek extra guidance or knowledgeable appraisal advice that's the real beauty of Estibot anyway, granted the target market for HostGator appraisal software is largely new/inexperienced domainers and people who've received lowball offers on their domains and are curious to see what they're worth. For this purpose, Estibot does a very good job.
Estibot has a lot more function than appraisal software and I recommend it's use to everyone new and experienced alike. It has so many more features than appraisals that it really shouldn't even be promoted as appraisal software. It has a large majority of the tools an experienced domainer needs to properly evaluate a domain's worth all in one easy to use package convenience at it's finest...
Best appraisal sites are the sections on the main HostGator forums, including namepros of course. which are free and frequented ny experienced domainers.
If you feel you have to pay for an appraisal, I guess afternic or moniker although will be a complete waste of money as any domainer will disregard..
Some people are very impressed with estibot.com.
Its free and seems to be getting better, even I have to admit..
