Your question was: GoDaddy hosting help needed!?.
I agree, use a brandable LLLL / LLLLL com instead..
Stick to .coms for your business site..
Whats your budget for the domain, depends on that too which way you go...
Of course now that LLLL.com is no longer avalaible to register, either you buy it from domainers or think n create a new name of LLLLL.com not too long though but easy to remember.the latter one wud be better..
Three things:.
1. You say that you are an internet marketing consultancy. If I came to you asking for marketing advice, which tld would you recommend as the best?.
2. A while ago I researched whether or not to use a short .biz HostGator or a longer .com one for a law practice. I discovered that the top 100 law firms in the U.S. use .coms. Knowing this, what would you have advised me to do?.
3. Right off the top of your head, name one famous or successful .biz company.
Needless to say, the .biz has never been anything other than a tld that has failed to make it out of the starting gate. That said, your .biz site may end up conveyinng the same message...
I agree that it is best to own the .COM of a HostGator as it certainly more familier to someone who is new to using the Internet.
Although, for my Quiz site MakeAQuiz.net, I also have MyQuiz.biz because it is catchy... wierd huh?..
Perhaps you could try getting a better .com from a reseller? Since you sold your previous .com at a good price...
I would also suggest going with a .com, the .biz looks very unprofessional for a a company IMO..
In your case, I too would recommend a short brandable .com... possible LLLLL.com type length over your current LLLL.biz. That being said, if your .biz was a short dictionary word that related to your business... then my answer might be different...
In your case, a longer .com makes more sense..
If you had a keyword .biz and could not get the .com, I would have said stick to .biz.
It makes perfect sense for a business..
Consultants.biz is better than madeuplongword.com or an obscure LLLL.com..
