Then got run over by it..

But today is a new day..

I have discovered that not logging my food everyday, whether it's OP (on plan) or not, really makes a difference..

So, back on track and back to logging everything. The derailment began about 2 weeks ago but came to a head last week. It was my MIL 78th birthday so we took her out to dinner to a local favorite restaurant. On the menu was the 'Kitchen Sink' burger - I have a weakness for a good burger. I ate the burger and some of the potatoes that came with it. I was miserably stuffed after eating.

Today hubby and I went for a nice 17 mile bike ride. Tonight is an OP dinner complete with fresh veggies and lopes from the local produce stand.

Have a great week everyone..

Glad you're back on track! Do you have a plan to avoid derailment in the future? What could you have done differently? A plan is a good thing!.

Oddly enough I usually do have a plan. I just got lazy and stopped tracking. I let myself give in to too many temptations and I didn't bother to exercise..

If we go out to eat, I always try to look at the menu ahead of time so I plan what to eat.

I've got my head back in the game now though. I want these lbs gone for good..

I get way off the program too when I don't write or track online. I was on another program that assigned points to different foods and you tracked your total for the day. I very often heard "You bite it, You write it". Congratulations for realizing what was happening and correcting it!.

Patty.

Good job to get back to plan! And maybe next time at the restaurant, modify what you would normally have. We're changing our lifestyle! Possibly you could have gotten that burger and left off the bread, or split the big burger with someone else. After the 1st few tastes of something, the newness wears off.

I'm always afraid that if I eat a burger here, I might eat a pizza there, and maybe some donuts that someone brings home later on...the snowball effect! I'm in the school of thought that I want to stay away from foods that I used to eat because I'm also used to cramming them in with no control! .

Best of luck to ya!.

Don't worry, Vanessa. We stopped the wagon to wait for you to get back on!.

It's not about being perfect, it's about trying to make the right choices..

I too have fallen off of the wagon this week.Too many "special occasions" happened all in one week. I just keep thinking to myself, "Wow, what would my weight be if I hadn't eaten all of that stuff???" .

I start back to work this week since summer is over and there is a big breakfast tomorrow. I'm a little scared but I think I can overcome the temptation!!! Glad you realized what happened and are back on track!!!.

This week will be especially hard for me. I am a high level volunteer for a Celebrity Golf Classic and have three events to attend and work. (this doesn't include the tickets I have to an outdoor concert tomorrow night). I've work really hard to lose weight before this event (have a really slinky dress to wear Saturday night) and I'm worried about going off plan during these events since they all revolve around food and drink.

I'm going to try and stay on plan as much as I possibly can as well as go to the gym whenever possible. I'm going to try and not beat myself up about any slipups.....I'm going to get back on that wagon Monday morning and continue to lose and work toward my goal.

You can do it!.

Thanks for holding that wagon for me. I'm staying on this time!.

It might help if you can plan your meals so that you eat your largest meal of the day BEFORE you attend these events so you will be full and not so tempted to eat food that is not Nutrisystem friendly. You could still nibble on any items that fit into the plan, perhaps, but not being hungry will help strengthen your will power to say no to the really bad choices..

..so mad at myself! After a stellar first week....I Tanked!! .

Big time!...We went out to a restaurant w/friends, who were treating us, by the way..lol .

I should have stayed home!!...then I wouldnt have hit the downward spiral...like usual ...

The next morning...my body felt weird, cause it had been thrown for a loop by the night before.....and I didnt feel satisfied by Nutrisystem plan....

So I have been sneaking reg food at home...and eating whatever I want when going out....1 dinner has turned into almost a week of cheating!!!!!HELP!! ... this always happens......

Let me tell you: it's Much harder to get back On the wagon; than hold on to it so you don't fall off in the first place!!.

Eagle - don't fret. You just have to remember that today is a new day. We need to remember that we are doing this one meal at a time. If we blow one meal, start fresh with the next. Eventually the time between bad choices will stretch farther and farther apart. Isn't that ultimately our goal? Making good choices more often and fewer bad choices..

Hang in there. I'm back on the wagon, I'll hold it for you so you can climb back on in time for your next meal..

Thanks for holding the wagon..lol ....you're right....i have to stop this attitude of all or nothing...nothing in life is like that!!.

I too started june 28 and have fallen off and gotten back on several times! I am back on it for good this time though as I like how I feel so much better when my weight is going down!.

It's a mindset and you need to be mentally on program as well for it to work. My husband has been very supportive and this week we are walking 2 miles before work in the morning and 2 miles at night. it has really helped and I feel so much better!.

I too need to track my food in order to stay in control. Drinking the water also helps..

Hang in there everyone!!! We will do this!!!.
