I"ve beeen reading alot of posts from people saying how they have felt sick on this plan (headaches, etc). I did atkins years ago and felt like that so I've been waiting for it but I havent felt anything yet but hungry. I started the plan on Friday and it's now Monday. I'm not complaining about feeling ok but could I be doing something wrong? Thanks in advance..

I never had the headache or sick feeling when starting Medifast because I had been eating pretty lo carb/low sugar before I started. As long as you are doing the plan as written, you are doing nothing wrong..

I also never had the symptoms of being in ketosis or burst of energy that many talk about. I never stressed about it because I was following the plan with no deviations and I was losing weight...

I also never had the headache, shakiness, nausea, or other symptoms when I first started MF. I was pretty darn hungry though..

I can't undestand how I skipped those symptoms, because before Medifast I was eating carbs like crazy. Just lucky, I guess..

Although, I worry that if I ever go off-plan for any reason, it will hit me like a ton of bricks when I try to go back into ketosis. Good incentive for staying OP!..

Felt pretty crappy my first week. Congrats on NOT feeling bad! Some people have a really hard time...

My only symptom was a shorter fuse. Little things irritated me. It took me about a week to not feel irritated at my kids just being kids!.

I didn't have headaches or anything like that. I wonder if some people give up soda at the same time, and are also having caffeine withdrawal headaches? When I tried Atkins years ago, I felt absolutely AWFUL, and only lasted a couple of days because I felt so bad. So glad this is different.

In any case, lucky you!..

Thanks. Yes me too a little irritated. I didnt last on Atkins either it was torture I have never felt sicker...

I had a very slight headache the first 2-3 days but nothing that I couldn't handle. Other than that it was fine...

I already knew that sugar detox for me would be brutal. But if you weren't eating the horrible things I was, then it might not be so bad!..

I already suffer from headaches, so whatever headaches I feel on plan are easy to ignore. I did feel really sick for about two days when I first started taking metformin, but that eased off. For the most part, I feel mostly tired. I go to bed earlier and sleep in later. Never did get that burst of energy, though I do zip up the stairs a little faster than I did at my starting weight...

I had some mild headaches the first 3 to 4 days then they stopped. I have had an amazing amount of energy and have been sleeping a LOT better...

The burst of energy thing was a total fallacy for me. Mostly I'm pretty tired on MF, I'm a fairly active person and it's just not a lot of calories. I don't feel *gross* though, just kind of lethargic.....
