I just bought some tonight at Whole Foods and would like to start incorporating them into my lunch entrees.....but, I have no idea how to cook them. Need help please......

Your question was: Edamame on Nutrisystem.

They are actually great in salads! If they are out of the shell already (and frozen)- you can boil or microwave (or just defrost in some water). Take them out of the shell/skin if they came that way. Edamame that is frozen is already cooked. Toss them in your salad- really good. They also are great by themselves with a little seasoning salt (kind of like peanuts). You can get them much cheaper at Asian Grocery stores (if you have any around where you live). Enjoy!..

The ones I bought are already out of the shell, and are tossed in a little sea salt, should I rinse them before using now?..

They probably don't need rinsing unless you want less sodium in your diet. Lemon juice is a good flavor to replace salt. Low sodium rice vinegar is good with Asian food...

Does anyone know how you count edamame on the women's plan? Is it protein or vegetable? Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see it as a recommended grocery food either on the website or in the Nutrisystem iphone app??..

1/3 cup beans = 1 Dairy/Protein Serving..

Edamame humus.

1 lb. edamame.

1/2 (up ri(e wine vinegar.

1(up EVOO.

Puree the beans slowly in a food pro(essor, add oil slowly 'til beans are smooth, then add ri(e vinegar & a little salt/pepper to taste.

Tomatillo salsa.

20 tomatillos.

1 tomato.

1 garli( (love.

15 (hile arbol or Hawaiian (hiles.

1/4 (up water.

Salt to taste.

Roast husked tomatillos,tomato, & hiles on a flat pan 6"from broiler or gas flame. When skins are bla(kish remove most of them, but leave a little for texture..

Put water & garli( in blender & pulse a few times. Add roasted veggies & blend to a (hunky (onsistan(y. Add salt to taste..

Serve the above with healthy veggie (rudites, Pita bread triangles, or (hips of your (hoi(e. I like the Food That Tastes Good ones that (ome in mixed whole grain, & other really interesting flavors, in(l (ho(olate..

P. S. The humus isn't all that Nutrisystem friendly..
