Thanks! I may wait til I return to officially start my Nutrisystem plan since the food will likely arrive just a few days before I leave, but I'll try to start eating better while I'm there anyway...
You could always bring your Nutrisystem food with you, that is what I did...
I'm going back to revisit my old stomping grounds in Washington, D.C. in June with Mom and DD. We will be gone for about 4-5 days.
I plan to bring muffins for breakfast and buy yogurt and fresh fruit from local groceries. Mostly bars for lunch with a spinach salad at whatever eatery we go to since we will be busy out and about. For dinner (since there will be a micro in the hotel room) I'll eat the dinner entree. When we go out to dinner for Mom and DD, I'll get a veggie plate sans butter and salt.
I'm a vegetarian so my dairy/protein options will be somewhat limited. Scrambled eggs could be micro-ed in a mug I suppose, although I'm not too fond of eggs. Tofu hot dogs could be heated in the micro as well. I will also be bringing my protein powder to make "shakes" without using a blender. I suppose I could find cheese sticks at the grocery but there will be too many leftovers and the driving home is many hours so they won't keep. Wish I could buy single pack cheese sticks! Any other dairy/protein suggestions? Maybe soy nuts?? Is that a fat or a protein BTW? I'm not sure what to do for the fat serving other than bringing almonds and walnuts.

If you're staying in a hotel with a microwave you can bring your food. Call your hotel, many have them on request, but not advertised..
Plus stop at a local grocer for fruit that won't need to stay in the fridge,and a vegie tray..
Make the Nutrisystem dehydrated foods in the cups by using hot water from the coffee maker..
Bring the bars.
Since you are driving you can invest in a cooler. I like to take one with me whenever I'm out of town for continuing education workshops. I fill it with easy food options and that really keeps me on track. So if you buy your cheese sticks at home and then just take those that you want with you there is no waste. You could also make yourself some hard boiled eggs to take that way. Your soy dogs or boca burgers can be microwaved in the room.
Good luck and enjoy your vacation. I went on vacation about 3 weeks after starting Nutrisystem and still managed to loose weight. My big tricks for that were to drink LOTS of water and to get in lots of exercise... walking and pool time sincde I was at the beach. But in DC if you do shopping and sight seeing you will be getting in lots of walking and that will help your program.
Since you are getting your first foods even closer to your vacation date than I did, you might want to officially start your program when you get back, but you can still follow the basic eating plan, take healthy snacks with you and start drinking your water. That will get you off to a really good start..
Before your food comes you are going to want to prepare your house by getting rid of trigger foods and unhealthy foods, clearing out space to put your Nutrisystem foods into (if you ordered the regular advance program they are all shelf stable, but they take up a lot of space. I keep mine in the separation trays from the shipping box on a table in my sunroom. Other people have cleared out a shelf or two in their pantry, other's keep them in a guest bedroom (until/unless they actually have a guest). Others have gotten big plastic tupperware boxes that they keep in the garage and just bring in a day or two worth of the food at at time. (Works well except for the chocolate items. Those you really need to find space in the house for.).
