That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably know..

Everything except the carrots looks good to me. You have to limit the carrots..

Here is the recipe..

INGREDIENTS:.

6 large green onions (1 bunch).

2 green bell peppers.

1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (14.5 ounce size, diced or whole).

1 bunch celery, sliced.

1/2 head cabbage, chopped.

1 package (Lipton) onion soup mix.

1 or 2 cubes bouillon (optional).

1 48 oz can V8 juice (optional).

Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.*.

PREPARATION:.

Simmer or slow cook all until soup is done. *If slow cooking, add seasonings about an hour before done..

The Lipton onion soup has a LOT of sodium in it. I just noticed this recipe has no carrots. You can add almost any veggie to it. I used to add green beans too...

I make mine differently:.

Weight Watchers "Free" Veggie Soup (Free for Dukan Diet too ).

1/2 head large cabbage.

1 large can diced tomatoes with juice.

1/2 large onion.

2 red bell peppers.

2 medium zucchini.

10 baby carrots.

1/2 small bag frozen green beans.

Chop and dice everything on the small side. Add the can of tomatoes with the juice. Fill the remainder of the pot with water. Cook all day in the crockpot or about 90 minutes on the stove top. I do not add any kind of bullion or soup mix to this, and it keeps it totally free. My husband calls it "cooked salad" lol.

Add some garlic, basil and oregano and it's an italian thing. Add some old bay and it tastes like crab soup. Add some hot sauce, lime juice and chili powder and it's mexican. I always have a huge container of this in the fridge...

Bump.

Was looking for a cabbage soup recipe and thought this fit the bill!..

Is the recipe posted by kymberlee really "free" to eat on Dukan Diet plan?.

My appetite lately has been crazy and being able to eat this two or three times in addition to my breakfast lunch dinner dessert protein fruit would be AMAZING.....

But is it really free?..

Um....That's about 175-200 calories for the whole rescipe, not including the tomatoes since it would depend on the the can. Not sure how many portions it would make but it's odds are it would end up pretty low. Each bowl would probably fit either as a vegtable serving or as one of the free foods. And of course even if you ate half the receipe in one sitting it's unlikely you'd end up getting fat on that...

So Dukan Diet told you that this was "free" and by "free" do you mean you can eat as much as you want?..

I actually called the counselor on this last week,as I love cabbage soup also. They told me 1 cup would be in place of the salad on the meal plan. They also said be careful how it is prepared,as I was ordering in a restaurant. I don't think there are many ways to prepare it!.. I ordered, and loved it, but if anyone has any other info on soups,I would love that information...

Nothing is actually free on Dukan Diet that has calories. The term 'free food' isn't a Dukan Diet term it's from the ADA. The meal planner gives you some things that are considered 'unlimited'...

Most restaurants make soups using beef or chicken stocks as the base. Unless they specifically tell you that they don't. But it's a fast way to prepare soups with flavor by using some sort of stock or base..

I make my own using low sodium FF chicken broth, a can of Dukan Diet added diced tomatoes and veggies. But I'd be really careful ordering it out..

I cup of the just broth could be a free food, with the veggies could replace a salad or a veggie portion, or add some chicken and have it for a protein serving. Just make sure you use low carb veggies. No corn, peas, etc...

OK...I made a pot of cabbage soup the other day.. It came out absolutely awesome and I froze a weeks worth of individual portions. But I'm trying to stick to only 1 cup servings when the mood strikes me to have it because I don't know how it would fit in with Dukan Diet or the calories. I added it to my Dukan Diet Hearty Beef Stew the other night and it was SO good. I counted it as a veggie. (I have a ton of those Beef stews and was wondering what to do with them.....) Here's my recipe if anyone's interested..

Ginger's Cabbage Soup.

1/2 head of cabbage chopped.

20 baby carrots sliced.

1 14.5 oz can Green Giant cut green beans.

1 zucchini diced.

1 yellow zucchini Squash diced.

1 14.5 oz can Hunt's diced tomatoes.

1 medium yellow onion diced.

3 cloves fresh garlic chopped.

6 cups water.

3 low sodium beef Boullion cubes(This is optional and I'm going to.

Leave it out next batch and see how it tastes).

1 11.5 oz can low sodium V-8 Juice.

1 11.5 oz can Regular V-8 Juice.

1 Tsp Mrs Dash (more or less to taste).

Simmer for 3 -4 hrs until all veggies tender..

Ps: My hubby said it was good but needed more salt lol. I suggested he add tobasco or some fresh basil or oregano to give it a little kick..

I get the FF LS chicken broth at Trader Joes and it's like 5-10 calories a cup. If you use something like that, I wouldn't leave it out, it adds flavor...

I don't think you can thank her, looks like she was banned...

Not from Dukan Diet but from the board..

Using bad language.

Causing arguments or contributing to them..

Just being bad..
