You really can just cut the banana in half, use one half and leave the other wherever you store your bananas (I leave it in the fruit bowl), and the next day, just cut off the brown, cut end. It's perfectly fine underneath! Sometimes I peel the 2nd half, cut it into small chunks, put it in a baggie and freeze it for use in smoothies. It may look a little brown, but again, it tastes great!..
I do too! Usually just slice off the little end that browns and eat it later in the day or the next day...
I cut a banana peel 'cap' for my extra half. That way I don't even have to remove the brown cut end, just remove the cap with the peel. It also is 'cute' in the fruit bowl...

I cut my bananas in 1/2 and wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and freeze them...sometimes I have trouble in the Magic Bullet but do you think that I could have thought of.
The banana and freezing it for ease of blending when frozen????!!!LOL!!!! (that is my meno-brain...LOL!).

I will eat half in the morning and slice up the other half, put it in a baggie, and throw it in the freezer. It whips right through the Bullet that way!.

LOL!!! Marci, my Magic Bullet is over 3 years old (I got it soon after I started NS) and I use it almost every day, but I've cut the banana up into ice cube-size chunks since the beginning! Dee, I've tried it whole, and mine just doesn't pulverize it enough... but maybe because I've left it in the freezer longer, always at least overnight, so maybe it's frozen too hard!..
I made this last night and it filled me up so much, I couldn't eat dessert! It made a huge cup and was very tasty! I used the Walden's Farms no calorie chocolate syrup and 2 Tbsp of PB2...
Hi Everyone....I had a little trouble with this in my Magic Bullet...the "splash of milk" didn't budge it with all of the ice...Did anyone else have this happen....
I needed (at least) 1/2 cup ofliquid to move this and I was determined.
To use a full protein since that was sounded especially good about this recipe!....
So...I combined DaVinci choc syrup/water/FF milk and like I saidprobably a bit more than 1/2 cup but in that area as I had to keep stopping and adding and.
When I was done.
This was like a soft ice cream smoothie.
I will leave out the PB2 next timewhy waste the calories/fat usecould barely taste it with that amount and it tasted great!..
Ohhh...a magic bullet is a wonderful little blender, chopper, etc. It is just perfect to mix a smoothie in for your snack/breakfast, lunch, whatever! I believe they still sell them on the infomercials, but you can also get them at Macy's, LNT, Target....just about anywhere. A very good investment!.
Judi....the reason your MB is not a problem chopping up the ice is because they lowered the wattage on them from 350W to 250W!!! I had to buy a new one recently and looked at that before I bought it! I knew it had less wattage, but I can't live without one, so what's a body to do???? LOL..
OMG, Kay, that never occurred to me!!! I bet they did it because people were complaining about the motor burning out. I never run mine for more than about 30 seconds at a time, and I mostly just pulse it, so maybe that's why mine has lasted so long. I'm so glad you told me that, though, so now I'll be even more careful to keep mine running!!!..
I just went to check my Magic Bullet-I have had it for almost 2 years...It is 250 ....
I used a cup of CRUSHED ICE as my frig has that setting and it is easier on the ole Bullet!....
So..I guess noone else had a problem with the little bit of liquid? or maybe no one got a chance to try this.
Recipe!....don't miss itreally good and doesnt use a lot of our allotments all at once!..
I do always add in Da Vinci syrup (whatever flavor I feel like or just the sweetner, and add less Splenda) and not so much ice anyway, so that may be another reason I haven't had that problem...
