My question is Does anyone know if there is a way to purchase Dukan Diet pills that contain ephedra? Many thanks for any response. 2nd question I got is.. Could someone please post a good recipe for sweet potato fries. I usually use butternut squash but am looking for some variety. Thanks..

Now, a bit about sweet potatoes before I fork over the recipe. According to Worlds Healthiest Foods, sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin A and vitamin C - both powerful antioxidants. It also is considered an antidiabetic food, which means that it can stabilize blood sugar and lower insulin resistance..

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries.

Serves 4-6.

1 - 1 1/2 lb sweet potatoes.

1/4 cup olive oil.

1/2 tsp no salt (salt substitute).

1/2 tsp paprika.

1/4 tsp cinnamon.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil (preferably the easy release kind)..

Peal the sweet potatoes. Cut into strips that are about 1/2 inch wide on each side..

Place the sweet potatoes into a sealable plastic bag. Add oil, salt, paprika and cinnamon. Seal the bag and shake well to thoroughly coat the fries. Spread the potatoes out onto the baking sheet in a single layer..

Cook for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Transfer immediately to a paper towel lined plate and serve warm...

I dip mine in egg beaters, then lightly coat w/bread crumbs. People also use Heartsmart Bisquick, I just haven't gotten a chance to pick any up yet. But they are delicious!!..

I make the baked sweet potato "fries" usually once a week. (not too much cuz they're starchy). I love having them with my chicken breast sandwich or burger because it seems like cheating...

Mmm, sounds good, but do you count the Eggbeaters and crumbs/HS Bisquick toward anything (or do you not use enough since you're just coating everything)? This sounds like a nice alternative to just the "plain" fries (zucchini) I've been eating. THANKS!!..

I think that the calories are so low, I don't count it for anything. Maybe you could count the calories as a free food? Not enough sticks to really do any damage..

Since 1/3 cup of yams is a carb serving and sweet potatoes/yams don't count as vegetables, how are there enough in 1/3 cup to eat/make as french fries? That's a TINY bit of yam...LOL Just wondering...

I thought 1/3 cup counted as 2 veggies just like the butternut squash. Am I wrong?..

I just make believe they are veggies. I love them and I try not to eat a double portion. Once every week or two can't hurt. I make them because my DH will eat some, a few. He eats no carbs, and is too thin...

Low Glycemic Index Carbohydrate Servings.

Sweet Potatoes, Yams, 1/3 cup.

Same as corn, peas, beans and other starch type veggies...
