That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably could give you help..
If you stick to the program on those days off, you will lose weight. It takes some planning and reading labels. ( Ditto to everything Lynn said.)..
Yeah I am only on day 8 I started last Thursday and had a flex day on Sunday because I knew I had time to prepare food and I really wanted to try some breakfast items we bought (turkey sausage, egg beaters, 50 cal cheddar cheese and 100 cal whole wheat dinner rolls made for an AMAZING breakfast at 230 calories AND I WAS FULL) and I had already lost a pound or 2 by the first and second day I was nervous that I would gain it back even tho that was only my 3rd day I followed the plan it was actually kind of fun for some reason hahaha and I lost another pound.....
Im to afraid on the flex thing. I just know I would give up and forget the whole thing if I didnt have them doing it for me. Im a quitter. lol..
I'm doing Flex and I really like it... You are not really OFF for two days, you are still doing Dukan Diet but using your foods. There is a booklet that comes with your food and tells you exactly how to eat and what type of food for that time....
I agree with the previous post. I am also on the Flex program and doing my day off today. It is not as hard as you think, if you follow the guidelines they give you (the exact amount of servings of main food categories for each meal). You are still following the program but with more flexibility. I thought that I would not get fed up with Dukan Diet food so quickly. It is all about variety..
I was on another food replacement program very similar to Dukan Diet a while back, and even though I lost 20 lbs, after 10 weeks I just couldn't look at their food. Even though I was getting closer to my goal, I could not continue it and gave it up. I chose the Flex program to make sure I don't get to the same point on NS..
Besides, at some point most of us will stop eating Dukan Diet food. It will be easier to continue eating healthy if you already know what to eat, based on the experience of the flex off days!..
I am also on the flex plan and I really like it. It does take discipline though. Dukan Diet gives the guidlines and it is up to you to follow them. No one is there preparing your meals but you. During the 5 days it is just a matter of heating it up and tossing in the add-ins but on the flex you are truly on your own for 2 days. I enjoy it because I can have something different and I am comfortable with the portions. If you have the discipline you really ought to try it...
I purchase my food from QVC and am on the weekends off program. I will be starting week three tomorrow and am pleased with the loss. What you have said is true. I am on this to learn how to eat, portion control and learn when I am full. The past two weekends have been challenging but the weigh is coming off so I am doing something right!..
