Please assist us (and the Newbies too!) by telling us the easiest and most convenient ways that you add fruits and/or vegetables to your entrees..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..

I use my veggies as a salad usually. Fruits, I usually have a banana in my morning cereal or mix dried cranberries, raisins, almonds, and Nutrichocolates to make a trail mix for my dessert...

Most of my food is to-go, the easiest for me is baby carrots, green peppers, cauliflower - all raw. I'd say 1 out of 5 days I'll have a salad with my serving of dressing. I used to also do Snow Pea Pods, but I'm not sure if they're a veggie or not..

I eat all my veggies raw tho, I don't like cooked veggies..

As for fruits, I love fruit. I eat everything but tomatoes. Raspberries I'll eat with a serving of dairy (milk) and they're awesome. I'll do the same with strawberries. I'll also put strawberries and bananas in the cereal. Again a lot of my fruit is grab and go.

For me, it's a green apple in the mornings, and in the evenings it's a salad before my entree and some steamed broccoli after my entree. Worked for me!..

Apples, bananas as fruit. Salads (lettuce with tomatoes), steam fresh veggies in the bag (frozen) are easy and you can find the right portions...broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)..

Portabella mushroom: not a fruit or a veggie, but put one in the micro for 2.5 minutes and pour your entree over it. YUM. Better yet, grill it and eat it like a burger..

Fruits:.

Fruit 1: 1/2 Grapefruit or banana in the morning straight up no mixing..

Fruit 2: Banana, apple, or orange for morning snack or with lunch..

Fruit 3: Banana, apple, or orange for afternoon snack, or evening snack, whenever I get hungry and need a quick fix. I hardly ever eat it at dinner time..

Fruit 4: I eat a 4th fruit a couple times a week as a quick replacement for 2 veggies. I don't like to do this but somedays it is for convenience..

Veggies.

Breakfast: a few free veggies in the breakfast sandwich. Peppers, green onion tops, shrooms.

Morning snack: no veggies.

Lunch: GIANT salad. 1/3 head lettuce, radishes, red/green peppers, shrooms, carrots, broccoli, green onion tops, grape tomatoes etc. etc. etc. FF dressing..

Afternoon snack: no veggies.

Dinner: Giant salad again or Stir Fry or Steamed veggies. I bought a nice veggie steamer and throw lots of veggies in there. I even share with the wife..

Evening snack: no veggies...

Barely started...only a week in for me. But by far the most convenient and tasty fruit/veggie is to throw it all in to a salad. I buy prewashed greens, berries and canned beans for carbs. Tonight my salad was baby spring mix, blueberries, 1/2 cup black beans, a few walnuts and some honey mustard dressing. Big bowl of steamed broccoli (microwave) and a Nutrisystem pizza (microwave) and I was stuffed. Seems like combos of fruits/veggies are the way to go for me.....

Mix them into the excess sauce in your entrees. Improves both!..

I stir fry my veggies all the time, and I mean all the time. I then put them into a larger size bowl...something like a serving bowl. Then I make a well in the middle and dump the entree in the middle and mix as I go. I also sprinkle the whole thing with sliced almonds and sop up any excess at the end with a piece of bread. This is very filling..

Tonights dinner was one of my favorites. I sautee a bunch of tri color bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and a few garlic stuffed green olives (my fat), with a light spray of olive oil. When that's done, I put it on a plate and top it with my Nutrisystem Lasagna entree. I add a wedge of whole wheat pita for my carb, and it's a very filling and delicious meal...

For transport/travel, I use low sodium 4oz V8 for veggie, 4oz juice boxes (100% juice, unsweetened) for fruit...

I really like frying up mushrooms and garlic. Goes well with most dinners..

I also really like those microwave steamer bags of veggies...

I just get some Spring Mix salad greens from the local grocery and eat a bowl with dinner. For lunch I chug a big can of V8 and sometimes supplement with another light salad with FF dressing..

As far as fruits, apples, bananas, and blueberries are the ultimate convenience fruits...

I enjoy a can of wax beans or different types of green beans, microwaved and seasoned differently. Also, try mixing smaller portions of mushrooms and diced tomatoes with different seasonings...

My wife does a decent job of adding veggies to my dinners. She did a whole cooked spinich with mushrooms and garlic the other day. I don't like plain salads so often I end up adding veggies to my meals such as adding peppers and mushrooms to my pizza!..

Tonight I threw my spaghetti squash into the leftover sauce from my rotini with meatballs. A natural improvement on an already tasty veggie...
