So I recently found out about 2 weeks ago that I needed to stop Medifast for financial reasons. So with my remaining food I decided to transition. So last sunday I started to do so by adding in an extra cup of vegetables. I still lost that week !! So yesterday I continued into my second week by adding in a banana and taking out a Medifast well as today. Well today I found out that I can afford Medifast for about 3-4 months more which should take me right through goal. I am soo extremely excited that I can finish what I started.

And then tomorrow should I just jump back onto the regular 5&1 plan? I will be ordering more food wed or thurs and I normally get it pretty fast..besides I have plenty of food to hold me over for 2 weeks in case there is a delay in shipping. Thanx in advance for any suggestions!!..

If it were me, I would yank my carbs back under 100/day as soon as I possibly could. So I'd do the math on what I'd already eaten, ditch the extra veggies, and eat the lowest-carb Medifast meals for the rest of the day. That way I'd minimize the time out of ketosis..

Hooray for being able to stick with it to goal!..

First of all...yea you can continue your journey that is awesome..

I would ask Nutrisystem to be sure but if I had to guess I would say finish today and start 5&1 again tomorrow. The sooner the better..

Or what Freya said..

I actually think I'm still in strange as it may seem haha. Last week I really only added green veggies like broccoli and lettuce just in case something like this came up. I will check my log because I think I've stayed under 100 carbs a day and I was having trouble meeting the higher calories as well, I stayed in the higher 900s and only went over 1000 once...

Hooray!!! So right back on track for you! That's totally awesome...

How have you felt today? I can usually feel it when I go out of ketosis. Unfortunately, bananas are one of the higher carb fruits...but you may be able to not go out of ketosis. I would have a L&G with the lowest carb veggies you can find...and have the remaining Medifast meals that Week 2 indicates and then tomorrow....5/1.

And whoo hoo on being able to financially stick with the program!!! What a blessing!!.

Chickpattie - My opinion is to finish off the day as you started. You've eaten your big transition add in for the day. Maybe just don't add in the extra veggie serving. Start back on 5&1 tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I didn't come out of ketosis until week 3, although a banana has a lot of carbs in it. I still think you'll be fine..

Congrats for being able to afford MF!..
